It's Out Again! ...Sorry 'Bout Your Friend.
Bleeeeck, so I am meaning to go to Actorfest in LA this weekend, yes? Well...a member of my Film class who also intends to go ended up reminding me when we were discussing it that I, in fact, DO have a 3-hour lab class right during the time that I would be fucking up there. So now I'm having to decide between skipping the class and getting rather behind, or being stuck in that Bio class for those three hours whining and angsting about missing FRIGGIN' ACTORFEST. ._. Doesn't help that I still haven't officially registered and must do so by tomorrow. Guess I better ask Mama...her being the really sanctimonius one regarding classes and honor and all of that stuff, it'd be good to not do something she'd totally not approve of. As I do love her and yes.In other news, though, the Film project my group and I are doing is going splendidly; I shot my main (and first to appear in the film) scene two days ago, and from what I've seen of the footage (no audio on it as it was uploading itself to our director's computer, but), it looks okay. And even better I saw the first take of this great scene between our killer character and his accomplice all in Spanish, and it was just wonderful to listen to, it was so artistically macabre. Especially since the scene in its English state was written by me, I can't help but be a bit proud. X3 And DR stuff is going on...currently everyone is a ghost, and next everyone will have their roles switched around. Fun. ♥ And finally, meme! Questions from one little mermaid collector to another also for sale post
HIya guys!!! well I am so happy to finally talk to some little mermaid fans/collectors. ^-^ Ive been meaning to ask about these items. I askede about them oin other sites and didnt get much of an responce. First off I recently found this melody. Now I know that melody mint is about $200-$500 but I am curious, how much do you guys think a used melody doll is? Shes in excellent condition although she does have afew marks on her ankle but thats it. her hair is very smooth not tangly or anything. but she only has one outfit, her exploring outfit no dress no fin. so all and all how much do you guys think she will run? Im just curious, I have a soft spot of loose abandon dolls that need a home but Im curious just in case.  also I for this a few years back at a yard sale and I have absolutely no idea what it is from. theyr binoculars but it does not have any company names or date. all it says is disney. does anyone know where this came from? ( Binoculars PIC HERE ^O^ ) and I figured I would ask this too. is anyone looking for little mermaid cards. Did the Idan Raichel concert today, which rocked. Got to watch him practice and he winked at me. It was amazing to see him play, he is truly gifted, his music is so addictive. I also got to see with India Ari, which rocked. Sigh, my life is hard and annoying at times, but it's never boring. For those who don't know, this is Idan Raichel. NaNo: Day 11
Eh, so I only did a little bit more tonight. But my mom found my AiW notebook with ALL my ideas/excerpts in it and dropped it off, so at least more will get done! Right now, Alice is with the Hare, the Tweedles, and Rabbit, confronting the Queen. After that is a small tea party scene and then CHAPTER 4! <3 I also typed up some later-on stuff. Yup. It's moving too quickly though, idea-wise with the planned out chapters. I'm going to havee to figure out maybe how slow the chapters down, if I don't split them up. Maybe introduce something insane in the very middle. Humm. Maybe have Caterpillar do something TOTALLY epic. lol We'll see. 7612 / 50000 words. 15% done! <3Alice Current Mood:  tired |

its been too long!
I thought i would write in here briefly. Not much has really changed in the last few weeks. Work, work, and yes you guessed it folks, more work. i'm really beginning to stress out now which is never a good sign. Played guitar at a brest cancer charity event on saturday, and it was nice. For those who don't know, my gf is a singer and her grandma asked her to sing and i got asked to play so yeah. Was a bit nervus about meeting her grand parents, but they are pretty cool. its nice to be treated like a part of the family. Feels kinda special you know? Just been reading and practicing and the usual other stuff. Oh, and played a concert with the bigband last thursday as well. I really did enjoy it! The guitars had a raw deal as we didn't get a chance to tune up with the rest of the band, so had to basically tune at the same time as trying to play. That was shal we say, INTERESTING. Apart from that it was amaising! Tomorrow i'm heading to edinburgh to see the family for a few days. it gives me an excuse to use my big tv and maybe throw in some dvds or gaming into the picture. i know its probably going to be something i'll regret lter, but oh well. I'll just have to live with it. I am human after all. There's so much actually to say that i'll do another entry later. Some current affares with political issues i want to go on about but i'll do that later. i'll catch up with you all soon. its been too long since i spoke to you all. Take care! |

hey! I remembered to bring my computer home
It wasn't until I reached the double doors of the school did I realize just how odd it was that I was carrying a fish... Adam and I do strange things- anyway... Against all odds of it being the same wording Mr. Holliday said, "How true that is"!!! Alexia and I were in shock, he doesn't even know who Hatter is. XD It made my day. Today in English it occurred to me that I have exams in exactly two weeks. o_o Bittersweet realization. On one hand, it's exams... and one day before my birthday no less (last year they landed on my birthday). On the other hand, I am sooo glad this trimester is almost over. I'm ready for a new schedule, this one causes me too much stress. English and anatomy are a huge contribution, and media literature has just become a thorn in my side and a fifth wheel. Economics and trig aren't as much of a problem but of course those two will be done after this term. I'm just hoping that I won't have English and anatomy in the same class schedule again that would be perfect, especially because I'll be working on the musical for the majority of the second trimester. Speaking of the musical, the past couple days have pretty much been baptism by fire, or at least if feels like it because so much stuff is being thrown at us at once. On Monday Mr. Lundgren took us through all the group singing and expected us to have the opening number memorized by the end of practice- he learned real quick that the last goal wasn't going to happen. Though after today, I'd say the majority of us have it down. We worked with Mrs. Holseih on choreographing the opening song. I swear we listened to that song fifty times today, and we sang while dancing so most of it is pretty hammered into our heads by now. I've decided that I'm going to weigh myself and then again after the show is done to see how much weight I lose because this is a bloody workout! After three hours of doing the same routine, you definitely lose your breath. The whole time I kept thinking about the AIW cast and wondered how long it usually took them to learn songs- probably not as much as we did, we took the entire practice just to learn one song and we hardly covered the ending because the kick-line threw us off so much. X3 And after all this plus homework it's just nice to sit on my bed and watch some AIW. It really relaxes me, especially Hare.... *sigh* He needs to be real, for just one day. Just one day... Day three
Got to meet a lot of celebrities on my last and final day. Rahm Emanuel spoke beautifully, even if at times, his applause was less than full. He did get amazing applause when he talked about how much Israel meant to him personally and to the president and how they were committed to an "unbreakable" and "sacred" alliance with Israel and he would be personally spending his vacation there, with Ari and his nephew Noah, to show his commitment. An incredible and beautiful ceremony was held, where a new Torah was created for the troops, a portable one. I bought a letter (one can finance the Torah by buying a letter) and was quite moved by the honor guard ceremony where nine Jewish soldiers marched in, carrying flags and the Torah to the sound of God Bless America. We all stood reverently, as they marched in, proud and tall. They named the Jewish brothers and sisters who perished in the war and then kissed the Torah scroll reverently. I may have been sobbing. Then we got to meet Joe Klein and James Kerchick and watched them duke out like a bunch of children. We got to hear them curse each other out and insult each other and it really got horrible at times, but it was amazingly interesting and very incredibly informative. Both gave me their cards and wished me the best.
Then I got to meet Galia Albin, who adored me (yay translating) and asked me to contact her, she could use some writers for her work and would like me to keep in contact. "I'll take care of you" says she after hugging me. Of course, I must return to law school now, but I had the time of my life. Missed you all. Weird
I've always hated the last episode of Roseanne. It's like a big "Fuck you!" to everybody who'd been watching it for almost a decade. Plus, Dan died. So, auto fail. Anyway, it was on tonight, and I'd forgotten there was a quote at the end. "Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that all was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, and make it possible." T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) That's all well and good, but I'd gotten this quote in my email not half an hour before, from my NaNo ML: "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who only dream by night." Edgar Allen Poe OK, it may just be me and my fever-addled, too-much-Sandman reading brain, but that's a lot of "dreamers of the day" type quotes at once. Plus! I'm pretty sure I've had a bunch more of that kind of quote recently. But then, as I've said, I've been reading a lot of Sandman lately. Still weird, though. |

I'm definitely sick. I have a fever and all day I was on the verge of throwing up (though I never did, thankfully). NaNo's up to 20,360. I wrote a bit over 2,300 words today, though I'm not sure how considering how I felt. Still. Did the Japanese presentation with Taylor and Beth. It was OK. I have a French test in the morning, on poems. Today was the last actual day of that class; tomorrow's test is the last time it meets. We get to take a poem in all marked up with notes and everything, and analyze it. I have mine analyzed but need to write myself notes. Before I do that, though, I need to shower. |

So, another glorious day in the life of yours truly. I awoke to breakfast with Israel ’s Foreign Service Ido Aharoni with the other members of the scholarship. We also meet a Soviet oil baron who is interested in start up companies in Israel. Then I went to listen to this speech.
I got to hear Sharansky speak and then hear Netanyahu, two of my personal heroes. It was an incredible moment to see 3000 people rise to greet the Prime Minister. He speaks so incredible, Bibi. I mean, he speaks a perfect English and he can just turn a phrase so incredibly. One arse tried to protest but was booed out, and we even stole their protest sign. It was sorta hilarious, a guy in pink drag being chased by Secret Service. So Al-Jazeera interviewed me and asked me what my opinion on what can be done to have Israel withdraw from settlements. "Free Gilad Shalit and you'll have the social capital to do do anything" was my response which was not what I should have said, but I was sorta in a daze from having a camera shoved in my face. Apparently, I was a major hit, even if they couldn't use me. I have the pictures though. Then we met with the Israeli counsel and discussed job opps for me. Then i networked like a madwoman and have so many many many presses that are interested in me freelancing and one asked about interviewing to podcast. I am a law student who should buckle down, but next semester, I will balance out a bit. One lady really seemed wonderful in helping and she has a women's magazine who needs me. Then we had dinner with Natan Sharansky and that rocked. The man is a hero and I was so honored to hear him. Then we saw Capital Steps and had an Elliot Yamin concert, where i was front row. The guy has the pipes of an angel. They got these giant balloons Tomorrow is Rahm Emmanuel and then some more networking to make my journalistic career, and my long ride home to NYC. I have met so many incredible, amazing, career building people. And then on Wednesday Idan Raichel concert. And then my special breakfast next month. And writing up all these articles and writing to contacts and thanking them. And finals. And job interviews. Life is insane....but good. Kinehore Just...wow.
