<lj:music>In Perfect Harmony-Shaina/Vanessa</lj:music>

As the subject line states, this entry is about a few things. I’m making it public for a very good reason. I would like some suggestions and advice as to what I should do. I hope everyone can help me out here.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand.

I’ve talked a little bit in this journal before about how God performed a miracle or was starting to do so concerning me truly being able to forgive my mother for everything she put me through.

Well I think He did it again with someone else who also hurt me a lot. This person was once a very good friend, but then she started doing things friends shouldn’t do to one another. I’m not going to go into details because that’s not the point of this entry.

For those of you who read my LJ ffrequently, you know what I’m talking about in that regard.

Anyway, if you guessed I’m talking about Heather, then you win the prize!

I’ve realized over the last few weeks that I’ve honestly and truly have forgiven her for what she put me through last year. That doesn’t mean I’m going to rush into anything, I promise. I realized this a few weeks ago when I started thinking about Heather and I didn’t feel angry. I just felt this sense of peace and I knew God had helped me to forgive her.

I don’t hate her and I’ll always pray for her. All I want is for her to be happy.

The only thing I’m running into is this. I want to show her that I’ve forgiven her, but I don’t want to rush into anything or do anything that might back fire despite my pure motives.

I guess you guys out there in Lj land can understand why I not only put the bulk of the entry under a cut, but why I also need your help.

I’m asking for suggestions of any kind as well as any advice on this one.
Mesai an and Aloha for now

Who? God
What? He loves you.
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? Because you are His child.

“God is here and He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

    <lj:music>Let a Song Carry You Along-MLP's Megan</lj:music>

Hi to all you MLP fans and lovers out there in LJ-land! I'm making this entry public because it's one of those fun ones!

I was just wondering what was the first episode of MLP you ever saw?

Mine was "The Magic Coins." In fact, I saw this one before I saw the movie. I loved it so much, I ended up renting it from our local video store at least ten times if not more.

And then when I bought the MLP TV Series on DvD, the Magic Coins was the first episode i watched. I loved it because Fizzy got some spotlight and it was the good kind. i also love the song "let a Song Carry You Along" as well. It's actually a song I listen to whenever I need a boost to get me through a really hard time or a trying day is ahead.

In short, I loved everything about the episode itself. My favorite quote from it is from HeartThrob. She says it to their Megan after Megan has proposed another deal to the troll. HeartThrob: Megan, dear! Have you slipped your bridal?" When she said that, I about cracked up!
How about the rest of you out there? What was your favorite MLP episode and why?

    <lj:music>The Wild Thornberrys Theme</lj:music>

Metai ae! I was just thinking of what my favorite shows on Nickelodeon were before it went down hill. I’m making this entry public because it’ll be more fun that way!

Here’s how it works. I’m gonna list my favorite Nick shows in no particular order and say why I liked them as well as my fave chars if there were any. Most of them will be before Avatar, so it’ll give you an idea of which ones I’m talking about.

The Wild Thornberrys-I LOVE this one because it’s exciting, full of family values and it saved my geo grade! I’m not kidding! My fave chars were Eliza, Nigel, Darwin, the Masai tribe and Tyler Tucker.

Gullah Gullah Island-This one is special to me because it helped me realize that not all families were as messed up as mine. It gave me hope that there were good families out there. And I love the music in it! My fave chars were Shaina, Natalie and Vanessa.

Allegra’s Window-This one was just plain cute. It was the only puppet show that didn’t freak me out as a kid. As for my fave chars, they were Allegra, Miss Melody, Riff and Reed. I also liked Lindi as well.

Rocket Power-This one was just plain awesome! I loved that it was set in Hawaii and I LOVED Tito! I also loved the concept of Ohana they brought into it as well!

The Secret World of Alex Mack-I love this show because it’s cool and really awesome! I started watching it when it first premiered and I was pulled in from the very beginning! I love Alex, Annie, Ray, Nicole and Oscar the chimp!

Are You Afraid of the Dark?-This one was just plain awesome and a lot of fun to watch! I especially liked watching it in the dark during thunderstorms! I loved Kieki’s stories as well as Samantha’s, Gary’s, Eric’s and Betty Ann’s.

Hey Dude-This one was cool too! I enjoyed watching it because I love horses! Melody was my favorite character on it!

Salute Your Shorts-This one was good too. I love any show about summer camp!

Doug-This one was cool too. I liked Doug, Skeeter and Patti.

All right! How about the rest of you out there in LJ land? What are your favorites and why? Just
I can’t wait to hear from everyone!

    <lj:music>Leave, Get Out-Jojo</lj:music>

Enough is enough! I know I’ve made my LJ friends only for the most part. But I felt this entry needed to be public for a very good reason.

As the subject line states, enough is enough! I mean it! I’m tired of dad4avatar and avatarangeladjl harassing me and trying to threaten my friends! They seriously need to back off and leave me alone! I’ve never done anything to them! If anything, I’ve done nothing but be nice to them and give them chance after chance to be a good friend. But they’ve not only messed it up every time, they’ve also emotionally hurt me countless times with no regard or remorse for their actions or my feelings. I’ve forgiven them, but I’m still healing. It doesn’t help when they keep messaging me via LJ PM and MSN messenger and adding me every time they get a new LJ! I don’t ask to be added. I just want them to leave me alone. They caused me enough pain and enough trouble!

Heather (dad4avatar) tells me she wants me out of her life and LJ, but her actions speak otherwise. The reason is, every time she gets a new LJ, she adds me! I don’t ask her to, she just does.

I haven’t spoken to her in a few months and I want to keep it that way. She has hurt me far too much for far too long.

For the full story of what happened and what both of them have put me through, just read my LJ. I’ve documented everything in there. And it’s nothing but the honest truth.

In short, Heather used to be a good friend and a nice person. Our friendship lasted three years and I wouldn’t have traded those years for anything. Heather used to be a good person and a loyal friend, but for the last year, something changed. She became jealous if I made a new friend and she expected me to spend all my time with her. She grew too dependant of me and I couldn’t take it anymore. She turned our once treasured friendship into an ownership. She also lied to me and kept secrets from me. That is not how friends should treat one another. I was honest with her, but she didn’t give me the same honesty in return. I couldn’t handle it anymore and I had to break it off. But she can’t seem to understand we can’t be friends anymore and she won’t take no for an answer. The other reason we broke it off is because she made friends with cammy and I had warned Heather against becoming friends with her. The reason is, cammy had hurt me for three years and I didn’t want her to do the same for Heather. But as I found out, Heather had to learn this lesson for herself. As much as I wanted to protect her, I couldn’t. But instead of listening to me, Heather started down a dangerous road. It wasn’t long before she teamed up with her and they both started causing trouble for me. They spread lies about me, tried to get me banned from
Message boards I was a part of as well as other things. They even stole my info and made a fake LJ with it. I reported them to LJ’s abuse team and the team deleted the journal. But the trouble didn’t end there. These two continue to harass me and I want it to stop! I don’t deserve it, just like the few friends of mine they have targeted don’t deserve it. I’ve forgiven both of them for what they’ve done, but they just keep doing it and it’s not right. They both need to be dealt with.

As for avatarangeladjl, she has caused me emotional pain for the past three years and I’m tired of it! It needs to stop! I went to LJ abuse team about it, but they couldn’t do anything. They said they can’t do anything about harassment.

I’m here to tell both dad4avatar (Heather) and avatarangeladjl (cammy) that if they don’t leave me alone and if they continue to harass me, I’m going to try and take legal action via the net by trying to get their ISP addresses and report them to the LJ abuse team. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to take further legal action. Hopefully, they’ll read this message and take it seriously. If not, I’m sorry, but enough his enough. What they’re doing is wrong and it needs to stop. And if I have to take legal action to do it, then that’s what I’ll do. I don’t want to, but they’re giving me no choice at this point.

    <lj:music>I Remember Music-Ariel</lj:music>

Hi! i was just wondering what everyone's first princess doll was that they received and if it had any affect on who your favorite princess is now?

I'll go first so you guys out there in LJ land can see what I'm talking about.

My first princess doll I received was Ariel. Ariel was also my first favorite princess. i LOVE her because we have a lot in common personality wise. Also, Jodi Benson's voice helped me a lot growing up.

As I’ve stated before, Ariel was the first person who ever told me I was worth anything and that I was special. Her words of truth stuck with me and were the light in the darkness during the hard times of my childhood.

Now as of today, my favorite princess hasn't changed. It's still Ariel. I love Jasmine, Cinderella and Belle as well, but Ariel will always be my first favorite. I have four Ariel dolls, which goes to show you how much I love her. GOL! GOL means giggles out loud. I have a plush Ariel doll, a baby Ariel, a regular sized Ariel doll and a slightly smaller one. All of them hold a very special place in my heart.

How about the rest of you?
I’d love to hear your whale of a tail! I mean story!

The W in Christmas

    <lj:music>Mae Whitman-I Heard the Bells</lj:music>

I thought I’d share this with everyone! Feel free to post this in your own journals and share it with those you love! I think it’s a good reminder of what Christmas is truly about. I also believe it’s a reminder that God’s love for us doesn’t end on Christmas. It’s lifelong and year round. That’s how I believe our love for one another should be.

The 'W' in Christmas

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience. I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive card writing, endless
baking, decorating, and even overspending. Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious family moments, and of course, the true
meaning of Christmas.
My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting season for a six year old.

For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for his school's 'Winter Pageant.' I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd be working the night of the production.
Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All parents
unable to attend that evening were welcome to come then. Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise.

So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten minutes early, found a spot on the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw several
other parents quietly scampering to their seats. As I waited, the students were led into the room. Each class, accompanied by their teacher, sat cross-legged
on the floor. Then, each group, one by one, rose to perform their song.

Because the public school system had long stopped referring to the holiday as 'Christmas,' I didn't expect anything other than fun, commercial entertainment
songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good cheer. So, when my son's class rose to sing, 'Christmas Love,' I was slightly taken aback by its bold
title.

Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens, red sweaters, and bright snowcaps upon their heads. Those in the front
row- center stage - held up large letters, one by one, to spell out the title of the song. As the class would sing 'C is for Christmas,' a child would
hold up the letter C. Then, 'H is for Happy,' and on and on, until each child holding up his portion had presented the complete message, 'Christmas Love.'

The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed her; a small, quiet, girl in the front row holding the letter 'M' upside down - totally
unaware her letter 'M' appeared as a 'W'. The audience of 1st through 6th graders snickered at this little one's mistake. But she had no idea they were
laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding her 'W'.

Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter continued until the last letter was raised, and we all saw it together. A hush
came over the audience and eyes began to widen. In that instant, we understood the reason we were there, why we celebrated the holiday in the first place,
why even in the chaos, there was a purpose for our festivities.
For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and clear:

'C H R I S T W A S L O V E'

And, I believe, He still is.

Mesai an and Aloha forn ow

Who? God
What? He loves you
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? Because you are His child.

”God is here and He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

    <lj:music>Pony Magic-Fizzy</lj:music>

As most of you know who read this journal, Fizzy is my first favorite My Little Pony. To understand why, you can read my MLP Memories, which I’ve also posted here.

With that said, let’s move onto the main part of this entry. My MLP Pet Peeve…

My MLP Pet Peeve is about Fizzy or Miss Fizzy as my Megan calls her sometimes. I came up with that special name myself. I find it cute. And don’t worry, this is a Pet peeve in defense of Fizzy, not making fun of her. I love her too much!
My MLP Pet Peeve about Fizzy is, I ABSOLUTELY can’t stand when I’m looking on an MLP site or reading someone’s descriptions of the ponies’ personalities and under Fizzy’s name it says the dreaded “b” word. You know which one I’m talking about. The one Gusty calls her sometimes and I CAN’T STAND IT!! I dislike it so much that whenever I’m watching the MLP Movie and I’m playing Fizzy, I have Fizzy say, “Hey!” Right after Gusty says it, but then Fizzy doesn’t say anything else because as you know, time is of the essence.

Anyway, that is my one major MLP Pet peeve. I don’t like it when ANYONE says that Fizzy is a. . . .dare I say it. . . .Bubble head. I don’t think she’s that at all! I don’t mind as much when on the show the witches say it, because they are evil and they’re supposed to be mean, but not Fizzy’s friends. Like Gusty. That’s the reason I don’t like Gusty at all.
Why can’t they just say that Fizzy is a sweet, easy going unicorn with a good sense of humor who can blow bubbles out of her horn and enjoys making her friends laugh when they’re feeling down. That sounds a lot better than calling her a. . . . the “b” word all the time.
When I was little and my best friend, Colleen and I would play MLP, we played mostly by ourselves, but sometimes a few friends would play with us too. Their names were Theresa, her sister, Christy and a girl named Stephanie. And I had this rule. If anyone-anyone at all-called Fizzy a bubble head, they couldn’t
play with her for that day. It happened a few times and Steph was usually the one who lost out. I kept to my promise and I’m glad I did. Fizzy meant so much to me when I was little and she still does. I love her so much. Fizzy helped me a lot during my hard childhood.
Colleen loved Fizzy a lot too. Not just when she played my Molly, but when we weren’t playing MLP too. She was very
gentle with her and never called her names.

Now that you know what my MLP Pet Peeve is, you need to also know that I’m very picky about what kind of MLP sites I go on. If there is even a mention of Fizzy in a negative way, I sign out of the site pronto.

Who? God
What? He loves you.
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? Because you are His child.

“God is here and He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

    <lj:music>It's a Wonderful Machine-Hatter and Hare</lj:music>

I titled this entry that because that is what it’s about, sort of. GOL!

I’ve decided to make a new AIW CD! This CD will be different from the first one I made. The reason is, this one will have more songs from the Queen, Tweedles and even Hatter and Hare!

I know what everyone who reads this journal is probably thinking. What happened to Alice? Don’t worry, she’ll be on this CD as well! I couldn’t leave my #1 fave character out! There will be probably twenty if not sixteen of my favorite Alice songs chosen for this CD. The rest of the songs will be of other characters. I’ll even include a few doubles from favorite Hatter/Hare songs, but for the most part, this CD will be all new stuff! I’m working on it as I write this entry and I’m having lots of fun making it! I know I’m going to have to extract some songs from various episodes I have, but I don’t mind. It’s all part of the fun!

In other news, my phone is still wonderful and amazing beyond words! It’s accessible and just plain stellar!

I spent the day yesterday extracting MLP episodes from my DVD for a friend of mine. I hope he enjoys them. I didn’t mind doing that. I enjoy doing nice things for friends. I then spent the other part of yesterday reading a story and working on my new AIW CD. It’s almost done and it sounds great! I’ll def post a song list once I’m done putting it together!
Mesai an and Aloha for now!

Who? God
What? He loves you.
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? <lj:music>Let A Song Carry You Along</lj:music>

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT own any of the ponies in this story. They belong to Hasbro. I do however own the Hartson girls, along with their Aunt Abby and their friends, Gloria, Min and Kathy. I also own Miss Elle and Miss Shannen, along with Uncle Mark and Aunt Kara. I also own Miss Pearlson. I also own Firefly’s special names for the Hartson girls as well as Megan’s special names for both of her little sisters. The only ponies I own are Baby Rainbow Star, Baby Shimmer Star and Baby Sunflyer. My friend I wrote this story with owns Frankie and Bob Rafelsen and Sadie. As for the Monkees, they are real people and a favorite of the person I wrote this story with. We also DO NOT own Valerie Cartwright. She was a real char on the “Monkees” TV Show.

A/N: This is the last part of the last official story my ex-writing partner and I wrote together. I hope everyone enjoys it!

“Secrets” Part 2 Final

Upon arriving at The Burkes’ house, Megan and her sisters were greeted by Gloria, along with Kathy and Min. The latter was holding a stuffed seal and sticking close to Gloria.
“Thank you so much for doing this.” Megan said, giving Gloria a smile.
“It’s no problem. The girls are really excited about Julie and Molly coming.”
Kathy proved her point by running up to Julie and giving her a hug. She was two years younger than Julie, but the two got along really well.
“Want to play house?” Kathy asked, once the two girls had pulled away.
Julie nodded.
“Sure!” She then turned to Molly. “Do you want to play too, sis?”
Molly grinned.
“Sure!” She then turned her attention to Min. The little girl was standing near Gloria, a little unsure of what to do. She was shier than Kathy and she kept to herself mostly.
Molly gave Min a smile and extended her hand slowly.
“Hi Min!” Molly greeted, giving the five year old a smile. “Remember me? I’m Molly. I’m Julie’s younger sister. Do you want to play house with us?”
Min gazed from Molly to her mother and then back to Molly again.
Gloria smiled at her youngest daughter and gave her a thumbs up.
“Go on, honey. It’s okay. The girls won’t play too roughly. I’ll bet Kathy will even let you wear that pink sparkly dress you like.” Gloria said, referring to Min’s favorite dress up outfit.
Min turned to Kathy, who nodded warmly.
“Come on, Min. It’ll be fun!” Kathy encouraged, hoping her sister would agree.
It took Min a few minutes, but she finally allowed Molly to lead her to the playroom. It took Min a few minutes to get used to Molly, but by the time Gloria called the girls for a before dinner snack, Min was laughing and playing with Molly as though they had always been friends.
“Well, this is a nice change!” Gloria said, smiling at her daughters and their friends. “Would you girls like some vegetables and dip?” She asked, setting out bowls on the counter.
Julie nodded as did Molly.
“Yes, please?” Molly asked, flashing Gloria one of her famous smiles.
“Okay. Why don’t you girls sit down while I get it.” Gloria suggested, going for the cabinet.
While the girls ate their snack, they chatted amongst each other and planned what they were going to do after dinner.
Molly suggested they watch a movie and the others readily agreed to the idea.
After dinner was over, the girls settled down to watch “Jungle Book 2” and Min ended up falling asleep in Molly’s lap. Molly didn’t mind at all. In fact, it made her feel like Megan or Julie when she was able to take care of little kids.
After the movie was over, Gloria tucked all of the girls in and kissed them good night. She made them hot chocolate and told them they could talk for an hour or so, but then it was time for bed.
All of the girls agreed to this. They set up a game of Candy Land, but Molly and Min quickly became bored with it and went off to play house in the corner of the room.
“I’ve never seen Min take to anyone that fast.” Kathy commented, moving her piece forward.
Julie nodded.
“I know what you mean. Molly has a way with younger kids. She acts her age most of the time, but sometimes, she’s wise beyond her years.”
Kathy smiled. She knew what that was like. Her Mommy often said she was like that as well.
After the girls had gotten ready for bed, Kathy laid her sleeping bag next to Julie’s and the two girls started talking quietly. They didn’t want to wake up their younger sisters.
“What’s Ponyland like?” Kathy asked, her voice full of excitement.
Julie smiled as she answered her best friend’s question.
“It’s great! Medley is so nice and the other little ponies are a lot of fun to be around. We love it there.”
“Do you think I could visit some time?” Kathy asked, a hopeful tone to her voice.
Julie grinned.
“That would be cool!” Julie said. “I don’t see why not. Megan wouldn’t mind and I’m sure your Mom would let you.”
Kathy grinned.
“I hope so. It would be so much fun if I could visit.”
“Do you think Min would want to come?” Julie asked, knowing the answer before Kathy said it.
“I don’t think so.” Kathy said. “It’s not that Ponyland isn’t fun, I’m sure it is. It’s just that Min is very close to our Mommy and if Mommy isn’t going, Min won’t want to go.”
Julie nodded. She knew how that was. She used to be that way with Megan when she was younger.
The girls talked for a few more minutes before Julie drifted off to sleep. Kathy fell asleep a few minutes after Julie had drifted off, so the playroom finally went silent.

During the rest of the weekend, the girls played and enjoyed each other’s company. Molly managed to get Min to play with them more and more as the weekend progressed.
By the time Monday rolled around, Kathy had gotten permission from both her mother and Megan to visit Ponyland. She had asked Min if she wanted to go, but her sister said no. Molly tried to get Min to change her mind, but it was no use.
Kathy explained that Min might come the next time, which satisfied Molly for the time being.
When Megan and Firefly, along with Medley and Lofty came to pick the girls up, Julie was in a considerably better mood than when she had left. She was all smiles when she greeted her sister and Medley and Julie even allowed Kathy to ride Medley with her, which was something she never let anyone do before.
“Well it’s safe to say that the trip worked.” Firefly said, grinning at her Jules.
Megan giggled.
“I think you’re right.” Megan agreed. She then turned to Molly, who was on Lofty. “Did you have fun, my little sunshine?”
Molly nodded.
“Yup! We had a great time! I even made friends with Kathy’s little sister, Min. She’s shy, but really nice.”
Megan smiled. She was glad that Molly had made a new friend.
“That’s great, Moll!” Megan said, enthusiastically. She then turned her attention to Firefly when the pink Pegasus said her name.
“Megan?” Firefly said, wanting to ask her a question.
“Yeah?” Megan replied, looking down at her best pony friend.
“Have you talked to Mike yet?” Firefly asked as they landed in Dream Valley.
Megan nodded.
“Yeah, but he told me to talk to Peter. I don’t understand why, but he just said Peter would know more about Bob.” Megan had used Bob’s first name because she wasn’t in his company and therefore, she didn’t see the harm in it.
Firefly nodded as Megan dismounted from her back.
“Well, I guess you should talk to Peter.” Firefly said, nuzzling Megan gently.
“I guess you’re right.” Megan said, before leading the way into the Estate.
Kathy gasped as she got her first glimpse of Ponyland.
“So, what do you think?” Julie asked, eagerly.
“It’s beautiful!” Kathy exclaimed. “Can I meet some of the ponies?”
“Sure!” Julie replied, happy that her friend liked it in Ponyland. “Let’s go find Fizzy!” With that, Julie led the way into the Estate in search of the green unicorn.
Molly followed, wanting to see what her best pony friend was up to. She had missed her during the time she had been away and she wanted to know what Fizzy had done in her absence.
Julie and Molly found Fizzy in the kitchen, feeding Baby Shimmerstar. The baby pony was enjoying every minute of it.
When Fizzy saw Molly, she grinned and a few bubbles came out of her horn, causing Kathy to giggle.
Molly giggled right along with her.
“Fizzy, I would like you to meet Kathy, Julie’s best friend.” Molly said, grinning at her.
“Hi Kathy!” Fizzy said, enthusiastically. “It’s nice to meet you!”
Kathy grinned.
“It’s nice to meet you too! Can you do tricks with the bubbles?”
Fizzy nodded.
“Sure! Do you wanna see some?”
“Okay!” Kathy replied, her grin filling her face.
The girls spent the next hour playing with Fizzy’s bubbles and they even managed to teach Kathy how to play bubble ball.
After the game of bubble ball was over, Julie suggested that Kathy meet some of the baby ponies.
Kathy was excited at the suggestion and followed Julie into the nursery. Molly, meanwhile, stayed behind to spend some time with Fizzy. She had really missed her while she had been away.
When Kathy and Julie entered the nursery, Kathy’s grin widened when she saw the baby ponies. They were so cute! She sat on one of the empty beds and waited for Julie to introduce her.
“Hey you guys!” Julie said, smiling around at the baby ponies.
“Hi Julie!” Baby Shady said, grinning back.
“Julie, whose dat?” Baby Lofty asked, gazing at Kathy curiously.
“Well, this is a good friend of mine. Everyone, I would like you to meet Kathy Burke. Kathy, these are the baby ponies.” Julie then started pointing out various baby ponies to Kathy.
“It’s nice to meet all of you,” Kathy said, smiling around at them all.
Just then, Baby Cotton Candy came up to Kathy. She smiled at her and held her teddy bear up for Kathy to see.
“Aw, he’s cute.” Kathy said, taking the bear from Baby Cotton Candy so that she could see it better. “You know what? I have a bear too. I even brought him with me. Would you like to see him?”
“Yes!” Baby Cotton Candy replied, smiling up at Kathy. She then turned to Julie. “I like your friend, Julie. She’s nice!”
Julie grinned.
“Yup. Kathy’s very nice.”
After Kathy had showed Baby Cotton Candy her teddy bear, the girls and the baby ponies decided to have a pretend tea party.
In the middle of the game, Bob passed by the nursery on his way to the kitchen. He tried to sneak by without being noticed, but Julie was too quick for him. She had decided to give him one more chance.
“Hey, Mr. Rafelsen! I want you to meet someone.” Julie said, smiling at him.
Bob stood there, trying to figure out a way to get out of this without hurting Julie’s feelings. He really didn’t want to meet anyone, especially another kid. But as he continued to stand in the doorway, he felt as if he was running out of options.
“Come on,” Julie coaxed. “It’s okay. She’s really nice. She’s a good friend of mine.”
"Yeah, uhh, okay," Bob said, finally. He figured he'd just say hi, and then leave.
"This is my friend, Kathy," Julie said. "Kathy, this is Mr. Rafelsen. He's a friend of my friend, Mike."
"Hi, Mr. Rafelsen," Kathy said, smiling.
"Hi," Bob said. Then he had an idea. He took off his glasses for a
moment and inspected them. "Gotta jet. The ol' specs need the once
over."
And with that, Bob beat a hasty retreat to the kitchen. Julie groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Sorry," she said. "He doesn't like kids."
"That's okay," Kathy said. "Come on, lets to play with the baby
ponies!"
Julie smiled, and she and Kathy rounded up some of the baby ponies and

went outside and played a game of tag.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Mike was talking to Megan and the ponies
about
what had happened lately.
"I don't think this was such a good idea, Mike," North Star said.
"Well, don't blame me," Mike said, giving Surprise a Look. "It wasn't
my
idea to bring him up here."
"I think you should take him back to where he came from," Firefly
said.
"He doesn't belong here. I mean, he doesn't like kids, he doesn't like
ponies,
he doesn't like anything here!"
"You're just sore because he didn't like the Double Inside Out Loop,"
Surprise commented.
"Your point?" Firefly asked.
"Okay, okay, that's enough," Mike said, trying to restore order.
"Look,
Surprise, I know you meant well, but this just ain't workin' out."
"Things are bound to get better," Peter said. "I mean, they always do.

You know you really hated Bob when you two first met, and now . . . .
well, you
tolerate each other a little better, but . . . ."
"Forget it, Uncle Peter," Fluey said. "Mr. Rafelsen is the King of the

Crabs."
"I agree with Fluey," Firefly said. "And since you're the only one he
listens to Mike . . . ."
"All right, all right," Mike said. "I get the point. "Come on,
Paradise,
let's go."
Paradise nodded, and she followed Mike into the kitchen. Bob was
looking
through the fridge.
"Look, Bobby-baby, we need to talk," Mike said.
"I told you never call me that," Bob said. "Geesh, don't you ponies
have
anything good in here?"
"Like what?" Paradise asked.
"Don't ask, Paradise," Mike said. "Bob, seriously, how can you even
eat
liverwurst, sardines, and onions in the same sandwich? That is just
plain disgusting!"
"Liverwurst, sardines, and onions?" Paradise repeated looking a little

sick.
"It's an acquired taste," Bob said, closing the refrigerator door. "So

what's on your mind, Mikey?"
"Look, buster, I've told you not to call me that!" Mike shouted.
"I'll stop calling you Mikey if you stop calling me Bobby," Bob said,
folding his arms across his chest.
"Fine," Mike said. He'd had enough of this, so he came right to the
point. "The ponies and I took a vote. You're goin' back to LA."
"Great," Bob said. "This vacation was anything but relaxing. So how do

we get back to Los Angeles?"
"Same way we came," Paradise replied. "Hop on."
Bob froze, much like he did when he first met Paradise and Surprise.
He
began backing up.
"Uhh, isn't there an alternate route?" he asked.
"Bob, I told you before!" Mike shouted. "There is nothin' to worry
about! What's with you, anyway? You never get on airplanes, you live on
the
ground floor of an apartment complex, every time a ceilin' light blows
out at your place, you call Micky to go over to
fix it, your office is on the ground floor of the studio . . . . if I
didn't
know better, I'd say you were afraid of heights!"
Bob didn't say anything, and he went back into the refrigerator. Mike

and Paradise threw each other a glance, and realization hit.
"You are," Paradise said. "You're afraid of heights, aren't you?"
"No!" Bob yelled. "I am not afraid of heights! Wh-what in the world
gave
you that idea?"
"Well, the way you acted when Firefly did the Double Inside Out Loop
with you on her back," Paradise said. "And the way you acted when Mike
told you
the only way to Ponyland and back from Ponyland was to fly."
"Admit it, Bobbers," Mike said. "You're afraid of heights!"
"I am not afraid of heights!" Bob insisted. "And if you say that to me

again, Michael Nesmith, I'll pop you one in the mouth!"
And with that, Bob slammed the refrigerator door shut, and stormed
out
of the room. Mike just began to laugh over that. Paradise gave him a
funny look.
"What's so funny?" she asked.
"Mr. High and Mighty Producer always bossin' us around," Mike said.
"He's afraid of heights! He's afraid of heights!"
"Mike, that's not funny. Lots of people are afraid of heights."
"Yeah, but I just think it's kinda funny that Bob's afraid of 'em."
Paradise sighed and shook her head. She did not understand Mike's
sense
of humor at all. In any case, Paradise went to the others and told them
what she
and Mike had just learned.
"Oh so that's why he didn't like the loop," Firefly said. "That makes
sense."
"That's probably part of the reason he's so uneasy up here," Medley
replied. "He's probably dreading going back, now that he knows the only
way is
to fly."
"Maybe you should fly him back, Medley," Fluey said. "After all,
you're
the gentlest flier here."
"I know, but I'm not sure Julie would like that," Medley said. "You
know
she doesn't particularly like Bob, and she might be upset if she saw
him on my
back."
"Personally, I don't see what his problem is," Firefly said. "I mean,
when the Monkees first came to
Ponyland, they adjusted fairly quickly. Jerry was a little freaked out
at first,
but he got over it, and Fluey adjusted right away!"
"Come on, Peter," Surprise said. "Mike said to ask you about it. You
obviously know something we don't."
"Yeah, Pete, I'm dyin' to know!" Mike shouted.
"I dunno, you guys," Peter said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I
mean,
he made me promise not to tell anybody. I can't break a promise."
"Promises are meant to be broken, Uncle Peter," Fluey said, sneakily.
"Who told you that?" Peter asked.
"Davy."
"Mike, remind me to have a talk with Davy when we get back to the
Pad."
"Sure thing," Mike said.
"Come on, Peter, just a little hint?" Surprise asked.
"Oh really, Surprise!" Medley shouted. "If Peter promised he wouldn't
tell, then I think he shouldn't tell."
"Thanks, Medley," Peter said.
And that was all there was to that. Dinner that night was quiet.
Julie,
Kathy, and Molly were talking a mile a minute. The ponies and their
friends were also deep in
conversation. Bob wasn't involved in it. Not that it mattered to him.
Some of
the ponies figured if he was going to ignore them, they were going to
ignore
him. That's how Truly viewed it.
Late that night, Lickety Split got up to get herself a midnight snack
of
ice cream, when she passed the bathroom. The light was on, and the door
was
opened a crack. She figured someone was in there, so she kept going to
the
kitchen until she heard someone talking.
"Just look at you," a voice said. "You're pathetic. You're a loser.
You've never amounted to anything, and you never will amount to
anything!"
Lickety Split stopped, turned around, and quietly walked over to the
bathroom and looked inside. There was Bob, standing in front of the
mirror, just
staring at his reflection, and getting pretty close to the mirror. He
glared at
himself and began speaking again.
"Is it any wonder nobody likes you?" he said. "You're so stupid, you
don't know anything! Nobody likes you! Everybody hates you! Even I hate
you! I can't even stand
to look at you!"
In a split second, Bob smashed his fist into the mirror. Lickety Split

jumped back for a moment. Then she looked back inside the door. Bob
turned off
the light, and walked back to his room, brushing past Lickety Split as
if he
didn't see her. Lickety Split just shook her head, and started back to
her room.
"That does it," she said. "No more triple fudge nut caramel ice cream
before bedtime for me!"
The next morning, Lickety Split wandered by the bathroom. Mike and
Megan
were cleaning up shards of broken glass off the floor.
"Huh, guess it wasn't a dream," Lickety Split said.
"What wasn't a dream?" Megan asked.
"Well, I thought I'd get some ice cream last night," Lickety Split
said.
"And I saw Bob in here, yelling at his reflection, and then he punched
the
mirror."
Before Megan or Mike could respond, Bob came down the hallway and over

to the bathroom. Bob looked at the shards of glass on the floor, and
then at Mike.
"What'd you do to the mirror?" he asked.
"What did I do?" Mike repeated. "Whattaya what did I do?! Lickety
Split
said you're the one who smashed the mirror!"
"What?! I didn't smash the mirror! That's more your speed!"
"Oh no? Then how do you explain that gash in your hand?"
"What gash in my . . . ."
Bob looked at his hand, and saw that Mike was right. There was a cut
there. It wasn't too deep. Bob was a little surprised he didn't notice
it until
now.
"Now how in the world did I . . . ." he started, but then he realized
something. "Holy maracas, I did it again."
"Did what again?" Lickety Split asked.
"Oh, nothing," Bob said. "Uhh, where do you guys keep the bandages?
I'll
just clean this up and . . . . help clean up the mess in here I guess.
Megan,
I'll write you a check to replace the mirror."
So that was all there was to that. By breakfast, everyone knew what
had
happened to the mirror, though they were pretty confused.
"I don't understand why he'd hit the mirror," Medley said. "Or why he
was yelling at himself."
"If you ask me, he's a psycho," Fluey said.
"He's not a psycho," Peter replied. "He's just wound up too tightly,
that's all. We're not really giving him a chance to loosen up, you
know."
"Peter," Truly said. "We all know you always try to find the good in
people, but this guy . . . ."
"Yeah, Peter," Firefly said. "He's always yelling at Julie, Molly, and

the baby ponies when they get too close to him. If he hit the mirror
after
losing it, he might go and hit one of them."
"I can assure you he would never do that," Peter said.
"How do you know?" Truly asked. "Come on, Peter, spill it!"
"Yeah, you obviously know something we don't," Surprise said.
"Peter," Megan said, putting her hand on the blond Monkee's shoulder.
"I
know you said you promised Bob you wouldn't say anything, and I know
you don't
like to break a promise, but I really think you should tell us before
someone
gets hurt."
Peter took a deep breath and gave it some thought. He knew Bob
wouldn't hit one of the kids, but the others wanted to know how he was so sure

about that. Finally, he sighed, and sat down.
"Okay," he said. "I'll talk. But you guys have to promise that it
won't
leave this room. If Bob finds out I told you guys, he'll really be
mad."
"We promise," Fizzy said.
"Okay," Peter said. "I'll start with the scab you and Cupcake saw on
his
shoulder, Fizzy. You were right, Cupcake, that was a burn mark. He got
that mark
when he was nine years old. He tells people he ran into a stove, but he
told me
the truth. The truth was his foster brother threw a hot iron at him."
"His foster brother did WHAT?!" Surprise shouted. "What did his
parents
do about it?"
"Nothing," Peter said. "Bob's parents were killed in a car crash when
he
was eight, and he and his younger sister were sent to different foster
families.
He hasn't seen his sister since then, and the family he went to . . . .
the
mother did every kind of drug known to man, and the father drunk a lot.
The
family had three other kids, and they got smacked around, but Bob got
the brunt of it. He said it was
because he thought he wasn't their real kid."
"So what happened?" Megan asked.
"Well, nothing much until the parents died three years later," Peter
continued. "The oldest kid in the family, who was about seventeen Bob
said, had
also died. He didn't tell me what of, though. The next thing he told me
was that
he ran away to California. He said he wasn't well liked in high school,
and when
he graduated from college, he started to produce these student films. A
couple
of people saw it, and told him about a production company that might be

interested in him. What they didn't tell him was that the company
specialized in
X rated movies. Bob told me that these people would get him so drunk,
he'd pass
out, and he'd have no idea what happened after that. He didn't know
what they
were doing until he went to a movie theater and saw one of those movies
being
advertised. When he threatened to tell the police, the production
company beat
him up and just left him in a back alley."
"How horrible!" Fizzy shouted.
"Wait a minute, there's more," Peter said. "Bob had a friend back in
those days, and they became partners in the movie business, until his
friend was
killed in a car crash. He also mentioned something about being married
and
having a kid, but his wife walked out on him. I don't even know
anything about
his kid. He didn't say anything on that."
"That's because that was none of your business," a voice said, from
the
doorway. Everyone turned around and saw Bob standing there, glaring at
Peter. He
looked positively furious.
"Bob, I didn't know you were there," Peter said. "Honest I didn't!"
"I asked you not to tell anyone my secrets," Bob said. "And you
promised
you wouldn't, and now you do! You're just like all the others! I
thought I could
trust you!"
"Hey, whoa, wait," Firefly said. "Calm down a little Bob. We were just
a
little concerned about the mirror incident. We were afraid you'd take
it out on
Julie, Molly, Kathy, or one of the baby ponies."
"You don't know how wrong you are!" Bob shouted. "You guys want the
truth, I'll give you the truth! I'll give you the whole stinkin' truth!
My
parents were killed when I was eight, and I was sent to a foster family
who did
nothing but abuse me, and their other kids as well. None of them ever
stood up
for me, and when they did something against the house rules, they
blamed me so
they wouldn't get punished! I have told myself I would NEVER do that to
a kid!
And that is one of the reasons I don't hang around with kids!"
"You're afraid you'll lash out like your foster father lashed out on
you?" Cupcake asked.
"Exactly," Bob said. "For three years straight, I'd get beat up on.
And
it didn't even end after I got out of that family! I kept trying to run
away
from the orphanage so much, they finally sent me to a mental
institution! And
when I came out to California, it got worse! Everyone thought I was a
stuck up
snob because I wouldn't interact with anyone! See these glasses?! You
know how I got these glasses?! Someone on my high school's football team
threw a broken
beer bottle into my face! The night of the homecoming dance my senior
year, the
seniors on the football team ganged up on me in the boys' bathroom, and
beat the
tar out of me, and then some! They fed the principal some story about
kids from
a rival school doing it, and he bought it! I couldn't tell them the
jocks did it
because my school was a jock school! No one was going to believe I was
assaulted
by the football players! But the worst was yet to come."
"That production company?" Fizzy asked.
"That's part of it," Bob said. "I met this girl named Veronica
Haddley,
but everyone called her Ronnie. We had to elope because her parents
didn't like
me."
"So what else is new?" Truly muttered under her breath.
"Truly!" Medley scolded.
"Anyway," Bob continued, glaring fiercely at Truly. "A year after we
got
married, Ronnie got pregnant, and she had a baby. We named her Rita.
When Rita
was two, Ronnie found out about my career in X rated movies, and she
walked out on me. I haven't seen or heard from either of
them in six years. Six years! And I haven't seen my kid sister in about

twenty-three years!"
Bob stopped for a minute, and walked to the doorway. Then he turned
around and glared at the group.
"Do any you have any idea what it's like to be alone for twenty-three
years?!" he yelled. "To have absolutely no one?! No friends, no family,
no one
who cares if you live or die?! No one to protect you?! No one to
comfort you?!
No one to love you?! Not even your own family?! That's my entire life!
No one
has ever stuck their neck out for me, and no one ever will!"
And with that, Bob stormed out of Paradise Estate as fast as he
possibly
could. Peter felt terrible.
"I knew I shouldn't have told," he said.
"I'm really sorry, Peter," Megan said. "I was the one who convinced
you
to tell."
"It's not your fault, Megan," Peter sighed. "It's mine. Even if you
convinced me to tell, I shouldn't have."
"Well, I think someone should go talk to him," Firefly said.
"No, we'd better wait until he cools off," Medley said.
"Med's right," Mike said. "You saw what he did to the bathroom
mirror."
The day went on as usual. Nothing really went on. The ponies figured
Bob
would want to be alone, so they didn't even bother going into his room.
Peter
was feeling really bad about what happened. He was sitting around and
moping.
"Hey, Peter, want to play with me and Kathy?" Julie asked. "It'll be a

lot of fun!"
"No thanks, Julie," Peter said.
"Why not?" Kathy asked. "I'm sure it will cheer you up! We can go
riding
around Ponyland!"
"I guess I'm just not in the mood," Peter said. "I'm sorry, girls. I
appreciate you wanting to cheer me up, but . . . . I just don't really
feel like
being cheered up."
Julie and Kathy looked at each other, and then walked down the
hallway.
They saw the door to Bob's room opened, and Twinkles the kitten sitting
in the
doorway mewing her head off.
"What's wrong, Twinkles?" Julie asked, picking up the little orange
kitten and stroking her back.
Twinkles jumped out of Julie's arms, and ran into the room. Julie and
Kathy followed. Twinkles jumped on the bed, and tapped at a piece of
paper with
her paw.
"Looks like a note," Kathy said, picking it up. Then she began to read

it. "Everybody, I know I've been a real jerk, and I'm sorry. But I just
can't
take it any longer. This vacation is turning into a nightmare. Mike,
you've
figured it out. I am severely acrophobic, and therefore, can not get on
the back
of one of the flying ponies and remain calm. If the only way back to
Los Angeles
is to fly, then I'll be better off staying in Ponyland, but not at the
Estate,
or Dream Valley. So I've left to find a little out of the way spot
where no one will bother me, and I won't bother anyone. Regards, Robert R. Rafelsen."
"Uh oh," Julie said. "That doesn't sound good. What should we do?"
"Maybe we should tell Megan," Kathy suggested.
"You're right. Come on!" With that, the girls ran off to find Megan.
When Julie and Kathy found Megan, both girls started talking at once. They were worried about Bob and Julie wanted Megan to know what had happened.
After a few minutes of listening to both girls trying to explain at once, Mike, who was in the room also, whistled to get everyone’s attention.
The room fell silent and Megan gave Mike a grateful look.
“Thanks.” She said. She then gazed down at her little sister and Kathy. “Now, one at a time.” Megan told them. “What happened?”
Julie sighed and started to explain.
“Bob ran away!” She shouted, worry in her voice. “We found a note on his bed and it said he left!” She handed Megan the note and watched her read it.
After Megan was done reading, she looked as worried as Julie felt. She thought for a moment, trying to figure out where Bob would have went off too.
As Megan thought, she re read the note, hoping it would give her some kind of clue.
Just then, Julie had a sudden idea.
“I think I know where he went!” Julie shouted. She then left the room with Megan and Kathy hot on her heels.
Julie ran for the playroom and found Medley reading a book to Melody and Baby Sunflyer.
“Medley, we need your help!” Julie shouted, once she reached her destination.
“What’s the matter, my little hummingbird?” Medley asked, using her special name for Julie.
Julie explained what was going on with Megan’s help. After both girls were done explaining, Megan turned her attention to Julie.
“Julie, where do you think Bob went off to?” She asked, praying Julie’s idea would lead them somewhere concrete.
Julie grinned as she gazed at Medley.
“Garden valley.” Julie replied. “It’s far from Dream Valley and it’s out of the way.”
“Good thinking, Jules!” Firefly praised, coming into the room. She had heard what was going on from Mike.
“Thanks.” Julie said, beaming all the while. She enjoyed helping out.
Firefly then turned her attention to Megan.
“Do you need help, my sweet girl?” Firefly offered, nuzzling Megan gently.
Megan shook her head.
“Not this time, Firefly. Thanks anyway though.” She then turned to Medley. “Can you take me to Garden Valley, Medley?”
“Of course.” Medley replied. “Hop on.”
“Thanks.” Megan said. She then gazed over at Firefly and gave her a pat on her mane. “Actually, there is something you can do to help. Can you check Flutter Valley, in case Bob went there?”
“Consider it done. “ Firefly replied, grinning. She was happy Megan had given her a task to do. With that, Megan jumped on Medleys’ back and the two were off.
Before Megan and Medley left, Megan cautioned Julie and Kathy to be good.
The girls promised they would behave. With that, Megan and Medley were off.
But as Medley flew into the air, Kathy called them back.
“Megan, wait!”
“What is it, sweetie?” Megan asked, glancing down at Kathy.
“May I come with you, please?” Kathy asked. “I can help. I Know I can. Min and I were hurt too. Please?”
Megan thought about this for a few minutes. She knew it wasn’t going to be easy to get Bob to listen and she could use all the help she could get.
“Okay. Julie, do you mind if Kathy comes with us?” Megan asked. She didn’t want to take Julie’s friend away from her without getting Julie’s okay first. After all, Kathy had come to spend time with Julie.
Julie nodded.
“It’s okay. I want Mr. Rafelsen to be okay.” Julie said, not failing to amaze Megan.
“Aw, thank you, sweetheart.” Megan said, getting off Medley and patting Julie’s shoulder.
Julie nodded.
“It’s okay.” With that, Julie went inside to play a game with Mike and Baby Heartthrob.
After Julie was safely in the Estate, Megan let Kathy climb on Medley with her and the three were off.
It didn’t take them long to find Bob. They found him right where Julie suspected he would be.
“My little hummingbird was right.” Medley said, referring to Julie.
“Thank goodness.” Megan said, jumping off Medley’s back the second the green pegasus had landed. She took a deep breath before approaching Bob.
Bob looked up at the sound of approaching footsteps and glared when he saw who it was.
“Doesn’t anyone know how to read at the Estate?” Bob asked, his voice full of irritation. “I told you I wanted to be left alone. In the letter I said I wanted to be left alone!”
Megan glared right back. She had a determined expression on her face and she wasn’t about to back down now. She had Medley to protect her if things got out of hand, but Megan prayed they wouldn’t.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Rafelsen, but I can’t do that.” Megan replied, sitting down next to him. “Julie and Kathy found the note you left. They were worried about you, so they came and told me what was going on. Why did you leave the Estate?” The young girl asked, praying she would get an answer. She knew she wasn’t exactly Bob’s favorite person, but Megan really did want to help.
Bob sized Megan up before deciding to give her a half truth.
“Because I wanted to be alone.” He replied. “Is that okay with you and your sisters and friends?”
“Being alone is okay sometimes.” Megan told him. “But it’s nice to have a friend once in a while too. And we all care about you. I want to help you. Will you give me a chance?”
Bob glared at Megan before turning away. He didn’t think she would ever understand. How could she? She was only fifteen years old. She was just a kid.
“I promise I’ll listen.” Megan said, hoping she was getting somewhere with Bob. “I think you might be surprised at just how much I can relate to you.”
Bob made an indignant noise with his teeth.
“You’re just a kid.” Bob replied. “How can you possibly understand what I went through?”
Megan sighed. She knew it was now or never.
“Because…Julie, Molly and I were abandoned by our mother.” Megan replied, her voice full of bitterness and resentment.
This made Bob look up at Megan. For the first time since he had come to Paradise Estate and Ponyland, Bob actually got a good look at Megan.
As Bob gazed in Megan’s direction, he could see tears ready to fall from her green eyes. He didn’t make a move to comfort her though. He wasn’t ready to do that yet.
Medley seemed to be one step ahead of him. She came over to Megan and started nuzzling her gently.
Before Bob could stop himself, he asked Megan a question that he wasn’t sure she would answer.
“What happened?”
“Our mother left us at a shopping mall.” Megan answered. “She took us to the mall one Saturday and she just left us there. I have been taking care of Julie and Molly since Julie was three and Molly was first born. I was the one to give Molly her name. I even helped name Julie, but I was more of a mother to Molly. Molly knows I’m her sister and she calls me Megan, but Molly views me as a mother too.”
Bob was speechless. He didn’t know what to say. But little did Bob know the worst was yet to come.
“What happened after that?” Bob asked, not being able to stop himself.

Megan took a deep breath before finding the courage deep within to finish her story.
Kathy, who had been listening to Megan’s tale, gave the older girl a hug, knowing she needed it.
“After Mom left,” Megan continued, her voice full of tears, “we stayed in them all for a few days. Then the police picked us up. They took us to our Aunt Abby’s house. Aunt Abby is Mom’s younger sister, but they are nothing alike. Aunt Abby’s great and she took really good care of us. She wanted to adopt us, but the court system gave her problems. Instead, they placed us with our Uncle Mark and that’s when the nightmare really began.”
Bob didn’t respond. He didn’t even move. He had a feeling he knew what was coming next.
“Uncle Mark was terrible!” Megan told Bob. “He would…he would hit us. He hit Molly and Julie mostly. Sometimes it was with a belt, sometimes it was with his fist. I wanted to protect Molly and Julie, but sometimes I couldn’t. Whenever Uncle Mark was drunk, he would hurt Julie and Molly really badly. It wasn’t until I was twelve and the girls were four and seven, did we finally find peace. Aunt Abby was finally able to adopt us and then we moved to Ponyland. See?” Megan said, calming down considerably. “You’re not alone.”
Bob nodded, but he still didn’t say anything.
Just then, Kathy spoke up.
“I was hurt too.” She said, coming over and standing next to Bob. “See this?” She pulled up her jumpsuit sleeve to reveal a bruise on her left arm. “My old Mommy gave it to me. She would hurt me a lot because I was quiet and I wouldn’t talk like other kids. I was a little more shy than most kids. She never told me she loved me and she wouldn’t’ feed me either. It wasn’t until Gloria adopted me that things got better. God answered my prayer. I would pray every night for someone to help me and God sent me Gloria.”
“How did she find you?” Megan asked, not being able to help herself.
Kathy turned to Megan and gave her a warm smile.
“It’s okay. I don’t mind talking about that part.” She gave Megan another smile before turning her attention back to Bob. “I sent out letters once every week, telling people I needed help. I did it in secret, so that my Mommy wouldn’t find out. Nobody answered them at first, but then one day last year, God sent Gloria to me. I was so happy and after Gloria adopted me, I never had to worry about being hurt again. Gloria’s the best Mommy ever. SHE gives me hugs and kisses and she cuddles with me when I need it. She does the same thing for my little sister, Min, as well. Min was hurt too, but she was in an orphanage before we found her and brought her home.”
Bob nodded. He then turned his attention to Megan. He had one more question for her.
“Were you ever in an orphanage?” He asked, wanting to know if Megan understood the pain he had gone through there.
Megan nodded.
“It was a group home. Julie, Molly and I stayed there for six months before Aunt Abby was able to adopt us. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t home. Mike Tyler, who is a good friend of Molly’s, works there. He was our favorite monitor. We had him to look out for us and we looked out for each other.”
Bob nodded. He tried not to glare at Megan as he spoke his next words. Megan had given him the opportunity he needed to open up and he was going to take it. HE just hoped he didn’t’ scare Kathy.
“Well I didn’t have anyone!” He exclaimed, making Kathy jump in surprise. “I was all alone! I had siblings, but they would blame stuff on me whenever they would do something wrong! They got hit too, but I was the one who was hit the most. Do you know how it feels to have your little sister taken away from you? Do you have any idea how that feels to have her ripped from your arms? Well, do you!”
Megan nodded as her mind started floating back to a time just three years ago. She hadn’t thought about it in awhile, but now it was coming back to her as though it had happened yesterday…

The morning had gone okay for both Megan and Molly. It wasn’t until lunchtime that disaster struck concerning Molly.
Megan had been eating lunch with her best friend, Alice, when their teacher, Miss Shannen, came up to them. She frowned as she approached their table. She walked right over to Megan and put a hand on Megan’s shoulder.
“Megan,” she said, her voice was soft, “honey, you need to go to the principal’s office.”
Megan nodded and threw away the rest of her stuff. She hadn’t been that hungry anyway.
As Megan rounded the corner to the principal’s office, she got a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.
As Megan walked inside, Miss Pearlson, told her to go inside the principal’s office and Megan obeyed without question.
Upon opening the door, Megan froze in her tracks. There, sitting in a chair across from the principal, was Uncle Mark!
After recovering herself, Megan ducked behind the door so that she could listen to what they were saying. For the first few minutes, they just had idol chit-chat. Then Uncle Mark said something that broke Megan’s heart and chilled her blood.
“Yes, I have made arrangements for Molly to be taken to my ex-wife’s house. I Think some time apart from her sisters will teach Megan the lesson she needs to learn.”
Megan stood there, unable to move. She couldn’t believe it. It couldn’t be true. Uncle Mark couldn’t take Julie and Molly away from her. He just couldn’t. This had to be a dream. A nightmare. Anything but the truth. But yet, something in the pit of Megan’s stomach told her that it was anything but a dream. It was real.
And if Megan was going to save Julie and Molly, she had to do something fast.
Megan stood there for another few minutes before sisterly protection took over. She bolted out of the office, shouting a hurried bathroom excuse to Mrs. Pearlson. She bought it and didn’t say a word.
Once Megan had gained the hallway, she ran all the way to Molly’s classroom without looking back once. She knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it.
“Yes?” Came Miss Elle’s voice. She was nice and very sweet. Megan had had her for a pre-kindergarten teacher herself. “Why hello, Megan. How are you today?”
Megan forced a smile on her face.
“Fine. I need to take Molly home early. A family emergency came up.”
Miss Elle nodded and then frowned.
“I was just about to call your teacher. Molly has been complaining of a tummy ache and she had a fever the last time I checked. She’s laying down over there.” Miss Elle pointed to a matt and Megan went over to it. She knelt down beside it and put her hand on Molly’s shoulder.
“Molly,” Megan said softly. “Molly, honey, time to wake up, my little sunshine. It’s time to go home.”
Slowly, Molly opened her eyes. It took Molly a minute or so before she was fully awake. When Molly saw Megan sitting there, she sat up and reached her arms out to her big sister-her protector.
“Come here, sweetie. Come to Megan.”
“Where I belong,” Molly said, her voice was tired, but she had a small smile on her face. The smile didn’t last long though.
“That’s right, Moll. In your big sister’s arms safe and sound.” With that, Megan took Molly into her lap and just held her close for a moment. She could feel the heat radiating from her and Megan felt so bad that she hadn’t believed her earlier.
“Megan, my tummy hurts!” Molly whimpered against Megan’s shoulder. ‘I feel yucky!”
“Shh,” Megan soothed, “hush now, my little sunshine. You’re going to be okay. I have you now. I’m going to take care of you. I Promise. Come on now. We’re going back to-“ Megan’s voice trailed off as she heard the door to Miss Elle’s room open, before a gruff voice met her ears.
“You aren’t going anywhere young lady.” A stern voice said from just behind the two girls.
Megan stood up and whirled around to find Uncle Mark and the principal, along with a woman who Megan assumed was a social worker, standing just inside the door.
Megan froze for about a minute, not realizing what to do. She tried to remain calm. Megan was scared out of her wits but she couldn’t show it. She had to keep it together for Molly. Megan had to be brave for her. Megan couldn’t let Molly see that she was scared too. She Just couldn’t.
Just then, Miss Elle came to Megan’s rescue, buying the girls at least a few minutes.
“Megan, why don’t you take Molly to go potty and your Uncle can wait for you here.” Miss Elle suggested, wanting to do everything she could to help.
Megan nodded and mouthed a thank you to her as she left the room, pushing passed Uncle Mark without a problem.
When Megan and Molly reached the sanctuary of the bathroom, Megan sat on a chair, with Molly still in her arms. Megan didn’t even have time to catch her breath before Molly said
tearfully, “Megan, I don’t feel so good.”
“What’s the matter?” Megan asked, although she thought she already knew. “Is your tummy feeling sick?”
Molly nodded and started crying harder.
“Shh,” Megan soothed as she carried her into one of the stalls and set her down in front of the toilet. “It’s okay. You’re going to be all right. I promise.”
Megan sat there, rubbing Molly’s back and holding her light brown hair back while trying to help her feel better. Megan hated it whenever either of her sisters were sick.
When Molly’s stomach had finally calmed down, Megan took her into her lap and hugged her close. Megan knew she was going to have to tell her what was going to happen sooner or later and Megan knew sooner was better.
But before Megan could speak, Molly asked her big sister a question that Megan wasn’t ready for.
“Is Uncle Mark going to take me away from you?” She sounded so scared and unsure that Megan just wanted to hold her and never let her go.
“Yes,” Megan said, not knowing what else to say. “But I’m not going to let him touch you.”
“Promise?” Molly asked.
Megan couldn’t say yes. Megan knew she couldn’t. It broke her heart that she couldn’t protect Molly from this, but Megan knew she couldn’t lie to her either.
“No,” Megan said softly. “I can’t promise you that, my little sunshine. I’m sorry. I just can’t. But I can promise you that I will always love you and no matter what happens, I’ll get you back.”
Molly burst into tears of fear as Megan sat there, trying to comfort her. Molly didn’t want to leave Megan and Megan didn’t want to lose her. But Megan knew there was no way around it.
The walk back to the classroom felt like a long one. When Megan got halfway there, she realized something. Megan couldn’t give up. She wouldn’t just hand Molly over to her uncle willingly. She Had to do something.
Megan slipped the Rainbow of Light around her neck and prayed that her plan would work. It was the only one she had.
When they reached the classroom, Uncle Mark snickered with delight as he held his arms out.
Megan tried to keep Molly calm while trying to open up the Rainbow of Light at the same time. It wasn’t an easy task, but Megan managed to do it.
“Not so fast,” Megan said. “You have to promise me something first.”
“Megan?” Molly asked, her voice tearful.
“Shh,” Megan hushed. “It’s okay.” She soothed while pulling out the Rainbow of Light with her free hand. “Hush now, my little sunshine. It’s going to be okay. You’re okay. You’re safe and sound in my arms where you belong. It’s okay.”
Molly nodded, but she pushed herself deeper into Megan. Her fingernails were digging into Megan’s skin.
Once Megan had successfully gotten a hold of her cherished locket, she turned back to Uncle Mark
“You have to promise me that you’ll bring her back and you’ll let me know where she is.”
Uncle Mark shook his head.
“I don’t think so, young lady. I don’t think that’s how punishments work. Now give me your sister like a good little girl.”
It was Megan’s turn to shake her head.
“I don’t think so.” With that, Megan successfully opened up the locket. “Rainbow, do your stuff!” Megan commanded.
The Rainbow jetted out of the locket at the sound of its keeper’s words. It made a protective heart around both girls and tried to protect them from the threat.
The Rainbow continued to surround them as Megan held a now hysterical Molly in her arms.
Megan started to stroke Molly’s light brown hair and gave her a kiss on her cheek. Megan needed to calm Molly down for fear that Molly would make herself throw up again if she didn’t relax.
“Shh,” Megan soothed. “It’s okay, my little sunshine. You’re okay. Megan has you. You’re safe and sound in my arms where you belong. You’re all right. That’s my little sunshine. That’s it. You’re okay. It’s all-“ But Megan was interrupted as she felt a shove from behind.
In that instant, the Rainbow of Light broke Megan’s fall, but as Megan fell, she lost her grip on Molly. In that split second, Molly was wrenched from Megan’s protective hold…

As Megan’s mind floated back to the present, she wiped away a few tears and tried her best to calm down.
“I’ll never forget that day.” Megan said, trying her best to calm down. “I thought I had failed Molly when I allowed Uncle Mark to take her away from me. But by the Grace of God, I was able to get her back.”
Bob nodded.
“Well, I wasn’t so fortunate.” He said, bitterly.
“I’m sorry.” Megan said, sincerely.
A few minutes of silence passed before Megan broke it.
“We need to get back to the Estate.” She said. “Everyone’s probably worried about us. I know they’re worried about you.”
This comment got Bob’s full attention.
“How can they be worried about me? They don’t even know me.” Bob said, a little bewildered by Megan’s statement.
Medley smiled at this. She came over to where Bob was sitting and gave him a nuzzle.
“We’re worried about you because we care.” Medley told him. “it doesn’t matter that we’ve only known you for a few days. We still care about you.”
Megan then asked Bob a question he wasn’t ready for.
“Mr. Raffelson? You know how Molly and I were separated, but why were you and your sister separated? And were you two really close?”
Bob heaved a sigh, and looked down at the ground. He shook his head, and didn't speak for several moments.
"She was five years old when our parents died," he said, finally. "She and I are three years apart. Her name is Sondra Lynette, but I called her Sadie, and it stuck. She used to call me Big Brother. Sadie and I . . . . I don't know, we were never really as close as you and your sisters, Megan. But she did kind of cling to me at times. When she started school, she was so nervous about it. I told her that I was in the same building, but I don't think she believed it. I used to skip recess to go down to her kindergarten class. Our elementary school back in Michigan had a full day kindergarten thing.”
Megan nodded as a smile spread across her face. Bob’s story had reminded her of how Julie had acted her first day in kindergarten.
“Julie acted the same way.” Megan told Bob. “And our classrooms were in the same building. I remember Julie came to mine a few hours after I had dropped her off. Some kid hit her in the head and she was afraid to go back. I talked to her and convinced her it was okay to stay. I told her if she stayed and tried to be brave, I would take her to see Medley after school. That worked and my little one was fine the rest of the day.”
Bob nodded.
A few minutes of silence passed before Bob continued his story.
“Anyway, the principal called us into his office two days before Christmas break. He told us our parents had been killed in a car crash. Some drunk driver in a pick up truck came barrelling down the intersection and smashed into my parents' car. They never even knew what hit them."
Bob took off his glasses for a minute, and rubbed his eyes with his fingers.
"And that stupid drunk driver only broke an arm!" he shouted, frustration evident in his tone as well as his face.
"He broke an arm, and my parents died! Where is the justice in that?!"
"I'm sorry," Megan said. It was all she could think of to say.
"Anyway," Bob said, sighing. "The school called child services, because they couldn't get ahold of any of our relatives. They brought over two different families, because no one wanted to take in both of us together. I'll never forget that moment. Sadie was in hysterics. She kept yelling that she wanted to stay with me. I don't know why they had to tear us apart like that in the first place. I haven’t seen my sister in twenty-three years.”
Megan, Medley, and Kathy were silent. Twenty-three years was a long time.
Bob finally stood up and sighed.
"I know I've been a pain," he said. "And it's mostly because I don't like to get close to people, because every person I have ever grown close to has been taken away from me some way or another. First my parents, then my sister, then my best friend, then my daughter."
"You don't have to worry," Medley said. "We'll always be here. You can get close to us. Hop on. We'd better go back."
"If it's all the same to you, I'd rather walk," Bob said.
"Sure," Megan replied as she and Kathy climbed on Medley's back.
Medley wasn't offended. She knew Bob didn't like heights.
When the foursome returned to the Estate, Cupcake was waiting in the kitchen for them.
"I have a surprise," she said.
"I thought that was Surprise's department," Megan commented, giving Cupcake’s mane a pat.
"She's not the only one who can come up with surprises," Cupcake replied. "I had Peter go down to the store for you, and I made you a sandwich."
"Ew, what smells?" Molly said, as she and Mike came into the kitchen, holding her nose.
"Liverwurst, sardines, and onions," Bob said. "Cupcake made me a sandwich."
"Eeeuuuwww!" Molly shouted.
"You said it, Molly-baby," Mike said. "Seriously, how can you eat that?!"
"I told you before, it's an acquired taste," Bob said. "Besides, it's better than that seventeen alarm chili you eat. That stuff'll clear out your sinuses and then some!"
"Can I help it if I like spicy food?" Mike shrugged.
The others just groaned. Things had obviously calmed down for the most part around the Estate. Kathy and Julie went to play together, while Molly spent some time with Fizzy and Baby Shimmerstar.
As Megan sat dow nto read a book in the living room, she smiled. Things had definitely settled down around Paradise Estate, for the time being at least.

. The next day was the moment of truth. Bob was heading back to LA.
Megan had talked with Julie about Bob flying Medley, and she agreed, only because Medley was the gentlest flyer of all the Pegasus ponies.
"Okay," Bob said, as he climbed on Medley. "If I start to
hyperventilate or have a panic attack, Medley, don't take it personally."
"I won't," Medley replied.
"Have you ever been on a plane, Mr. Rafelsen?" Molly asked.
"Only when I have to get on one," Bob replied. "I had to go to England for a promotional thing, so what I ended up doing was I arranged my flight for two days before I was supposed to be there, got myself smashed out of my gourd, passed out the spent the following two days hung over in my hotel room. It's not very healthy, but it gets me through a flight."
"Bob, you are a Looney Tune," Mike sighed, shaking his head.
Mike climbed on Paradise, and the two Pegasus ponies flew off.
Once they reached Bob's condo, Bob climbed off Medley. Mike was going to go back to Ponyland.
"Sorry this vacation didn't turn out so well," Medley said.
"Eh, that's all right," Bob said with a shrug. "But let me ask you something."
"Sure. What is it?" Medley asked, nuzzling Bob’s arm.
"When you said that you would always be there . . . . did you mean it?"
"Of course I did. All of us little ponies are always there when someone needs us. If you ever feel like you need someone, one of us will be there. Galaxy can sense things like that, and so can Twilight. If they sense we're needed, then we go to wherever we're needed."
"I've waited twenty-three years to hear something like that. Thanks a lot, Medley."
Bob hesitantly reached out his hand, and stroked her mane. He was not quite comfortable doing anything more. But Medley wasn't upset. She just smiled, and flew back to Ponyland.

The End

Who? God
What? He loves you
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? Because you are His child.

“God is here and He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

A/N: This is the last official story my ex-writing partner and I wrote together, so I thought I would share it with everyone! I hope everyone enjoys this!

“Secrets”

Like most summer days in Ponyland, it was a warm, bright, sunny and clear one. Fizzy, Shady, and Molly were playing Bubble Catch. Julie was braiding Medley's tail. Megan was reading a new book she had bought on a recent trip over the Rainbow. Firefly was doing the Double Inside Out Loop, as usual, with Fluey on her back. Peter was watching Firefly, and worrying that Fluey was going to fall off her back, as usual. Surprise was organizing some party decorations, just for the heck of it. It appeared one of her famous surprises was in the making.
Mike was There as well, and he looked lost in thought.
"Mike, can you please talk to Firefly?" he asked. "She's making me nervous."
"What, Pete?" Mike asked, looking at his bandmate.
"Are you okay, Mike?" Surprise asked, looking up. "You seem kind of Out of it."
"Well, I am kinda out of it," Mike admitted.
"What's the matter?" Megan asked, looking up from her book.
The others stopped what they were doing and came over so they could Get the story. Mike took a deep breath and began.
"Well, you know us Monkees recently signed a record deal," he said. "And we've already released an album."
"I thought that would make you happy," Medley said.
"Oh don't get me wrong, Med, it does," Mike said. "It's just that . .. . . well, Bob's just kinda . . . . I dunno, uptight about everythin'
and . . . ."
"Hey, whoa, hold the phone a minute," Firefly said. "Who's Bob?"
"Their boss," Fluey said. "Mr. Rafelsen's nothing but a slave driver!"
"Oh, Fluey, he is not!" Peter shouted. "He's just . . . . a little
high strung, that's all."
"A little? Uncle Peter, I've met him, and all he ever does is yell at
you guys when he thinks something you've recorded isn't perfect, and he and Mike fight all the time!"
"Really, Mike?" Fizzy asked. "This Mr. Rafelsen guy must not be very nice."
"He is a nice guy, Fizzy," Peter assured the twinkle eyed unicorn.
"It's just that he and Mike don't get along."
"That's 'cause I don't take no lip from nobody," Mike said. "And ol' Bobby-baby gives me a lot of lip."
"It's a personality clash," Peter explained. "Mike's a high strung
perfectionist, Bob's a high strung perfectionist."
"Yeah, man," Fluey said with a nod. "You get two high strung
perfectionists together stuck in the same room for three hours, and all heck
breaks loose."
"If you don't like your boss, maybe you should find a new one," Julie
suggested.
"No, don't get me wrong, Julie-baby, I like the guy," Mike explained. "It's just . . . . I don't know, he works too hard, he never takes a break, and he never really hangs out. With him, it's work, work, work."
"I think I know what he needs!" Surprise shouted, happily. "A
vacation!"
"That's what I said to him yesterday," Mike said. "He fed me some line about not bein' able to take time off. Said he had too much do."
"But it sounds to me like he could really use a break," Surprise said. "I've got it! Bring him up here to Ponyland! That will relax him!"
"I'm not so sure that's a good idea, Surprise," Mike said. "You know how I am. If too many people find out about Ponyland, you ponies could be in big trouble."
"But our cousin Tommy tells everyone he knows," Molly said. "And everyone thinks he's just got a wild imagination."
"Yeah, Mike, and you know everyone thinks Mr. Rafelsen is sort Looney Tunes," Fluey commented. "If he says he went somewhere and saw a bunch of rainbow colored ponies, everyone'll think he needs more vacation time!"
Mike sighed. The others had a point, so he gave in.
The next day, Mike went to Bob's apartment with Paradise and Surprise. They waited outside on the deck. Bob lived on the ground floor of the building. Mike was inside, and he knocked on Bob's door. Bob answered it, and gave Mike a strange look.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Hello to you, too," Mike said, a bit curtly. "Look, my friends and I took a vote. You're goin' on vacation. Startin' now."
"Well, now's not a good time," Bob said. "I've got promotion to do, songs to get released, interviews to handle . . . ."
"Well, tough because you and I are goin' on a trip. Peter's gonna be up there, and you're gonna meet some of my other friends, and you gonna relax and get your mind off work, whether you like it or not!"
With that, Mike stormed into the apartment. The place was a mess. There were papers all over the place, clothes strewn all over the
furniture, empty pizza boxes, cartons of take-out Chinese food, and coffee cups all over the floor. Mike did a quick count of the cups and
"How much coffee do you drink per day?!" he shouted. "Man, your place is a pig sty! How can you live like this?"
Without giving Bob a chance to respond, Mike walked over to the patio window, pulled open the curtains, and opened the door. When Bob saw Paradise and Surprise standing there, his jaw nearly made a dent in the floor.
"Mike!" he shouted. "I . . . I can't be seeing this! I just can't be!
Maybe you're right. Maybe I do need a vacation! But there just can't be
a white horse with red hair and a white horse with green hair standing
on my deck!"
"These are Paradise and Surprise," Mike said. "They're ponies, horses. And they're gonna take us to Ponyland."
"Ponyland," Bob repeated. "Well . . . . okay, I guess . . . . they got
a chariot or something attached?"
"No, stupid, you gotta get on one of their backs and ride them!" shouted, losing his patients.
"Hey, Mike, I don't think that was necessary," Paradise said.
Mike looked over at Bob, who appeared to be frozen. He was just
staring at the two ponies, and he started to back up.
"What's the matter?" Mike asked.
"I-I-I-I . . . ." Bob stammered. "I don't know how to ride. I've never even been on a horse in my life! Not even on a merry-go-round!"
"Well, okay, we're not exactly gonna ride," Mike said.
"That's good," Bob said, sighing of relief.
"Mike's right," Surprise said. "We're gonna fly. Paradise and I are Pegasus ponies, and we have to go over the rainbow to get to Ponyland."
"WHAT?!" Bob shrieked. "Fly?! No, no way, absolutely not! I feet on the ground!"
"Look, I know you hate flyin', but it's the only way to get to
Ponyland," Mike said. "And Paradise is one of the most gentle flyers of the ponies."
"Maybe Medley should've come instead of me," Paradise commented. "She's the gentlest of us Pegasus ponies."
"What's the matter, Bobby-baby?" Mike teased. "Afraid of heights?"
"Of course not!" Bob yelled. "And don't ever call me Bobby! You know I can't stand to be called Bobby! I just don't like to fly. My ears
pop."
Somehow, Paradise didn't believe it, but she didn't say anything.
"Come on," Mike said. "We promise we won't let you fall off. go!"
Mike took Bob's hand, and practically dragged him over to Paradise. Nervously, Bob climbed on her back. Paradise flapped her off the ground. Bob let out a yelp, and grabbed Paradise's hair as
tightly as he could. He also bent down, buring his face in her neck, and
squeezing his eyes shut.
"Let me know when it's over!" he yelled.
"Bob, calm down, everything's fine," Paradise said.
"Boy, he needs this vacation more than I thought," Surprise said Mike climbed on her back. Then both ponies took to the air and flew to
Ponyland. Paradise wasn't sure of this, but she thought she could hear
Bob mumble "don't look down, don't look down, don't look down" under his breath.
They reached Ponyland shortly afterwards. Peter Fluey, Megan, Julie, Molly, and most of the ponies came out to greet them.
"It's okay, Bobbers," Mike said. "You can look. It's over, and on the ground."
Bob opened one eye and looked around. He slowly climbed off Paradise's back, and began backing away from this herd of multi-colored ponies he was suddenly face to face with.
"It's all right," Cupcake said, smiling. "You don't have to be afraid of us."
"I'm not afraid," Bob said. "It's just . . . . I, uhh . . . ."
"Hey, I know what you mean," Peter said, smiling his usual, wonderful smile. "I was a little nervous meeting a bunch of talking ponies for the first time, too."
"Yeh," Bob said, nodding. He looked around a moment, and saw Fluey standing there. "Mike, you didn't tell me the kid was gonna be up here."
"I thought that was implied when I said Peter was gonna be here," Mike said.
"The kid?" Fizzy asked, looking at Fluey. Fluey just shrugged.
"Well anyway," Mike said. "Bob, these are the little ponies, and are Megan, Julie, and Molly Hartson. Guys, this is my boss, Bob Rafelsen."
"Hi!" Molly said, cheerfully.
"Yeah, hi," he said, brushing past her, and the others, without even looking at them. "Listen, I need a minute by myself, you know, to
collect myself."
"Okay, sure," Megan said. "Just make yourself at home."
"Yeah, sure, whatever," Bob said, and he raced inside Paradise Estate without another word.
"Well, what's the matter with him?" Glory asked.
"He was kind of rude, wasn't he?" Julie asked.
"Don't take it personally," Fluey said. "We should've told you guys that Bob doesn't like kids much."
"Yeah, he threw a fit that day I brought Fluey to the recording studio," Peter explained. "But he wouldn't hurt anyone."
"Besides," Fizzy said. "He just needs some time to get used to the
idea. I'm sure he'll come around in time!"
Paradise nodded, but she wasn't quite so sure.
There were a few minutes of silence following Bob’s exit. After the silence had passed, everyone went back to what they had been doing before Bob’s arrival.
“Hey Molly!” Julie called from where she stood. She was hooking Scooter’s leash together. “Do you and Jewelhart want to take a walk with Scooter and me?”
Molly thought for a moment before answering. She didn’t want to leave Fizzy hanging like that.
“Is it okay if I go with Julie?” Molly asked, patting Fizzy’s mane gently. “We can finish the game later. I promise.”
Fizzy smiled and nuzzled Molly gently.
“Uh-huh. It’s okay. I need to go check on Baby Shimmerstar anyway.” With that, Fizzy left for the nursery.
Molly grinned as she called Jewelhart to her. Jewelhart didn’t need much coaxing to take a walk. She ran right over to Molly, wagging her tail happily.
Molly giggled as she hooked Jewelhart’s leash to her collar.
Once Jewelhart was settled, the girls were off.
“Be careful!” Megan called after her two little sisters.
“We will!” Julie called back as she and Molly rounded the corner of Paradise Estate.
It wasn’t often that Julie and Molly got to do things together and Julie missed spending time with Molly these past few days.
“So what do you think of Bob?” Julie asked as they stopped in a field to play fetch with their canine companions.
Molly shrugged.
“I’m not sure. He seems sort of quiet. Maybe he’s just a little afraid to be here. I know I was shy the first time Megan brought me to Ponyland.”
Julie thought about this for a minute. She remembered how scared she had been during her first trip to Ponyland as well.
“I was shy too, until I met Medley.” Julie told her sister.
Molly nodded as she threw Jewelhart’s blue ball for her to fetch.
“I thought Bob was kind of rude.” Julie admitted, throwing Scooter’s red and purple ball for him to fetch. “But maybe he’s just shy. Fizzy’s probably right. Once Bob’s here for awhile, he’ll get used to everyone and he’ll stop being shy.”
Molly smiled.
“Hey, Julie?” Molly asked, sitting down beside her sister on the grass.
“Yeah?” Julie answered, petting Scooter, who had just settled into her lap.
“How did you get Scooter?” She asked, her voice full of curiosity.
Julie thought for a moment as she continued to pet the for mentioned dog’s head. “I thought you heard that story before?”
Molly shook her head.
“Nope. I just thought Aunt Abby bought him for you.”
Julie shook her head.
“I found him at school back when I was in third grade.”
“Wow! Holy macanoli!” Molly exclaimed, making Julie giggle. “I was only in kindergarten then.”
Julie nodded. She smiled as she thought back to when she and Scooter had first met…

“Tag!” Julie’s best friend, Charlotte Martin called as she tagged Julie before running off in the other direction. “You’re it!”
Julie giggled as she ran to tag their friend, Lucy, who was near the sliding board.
The game continued for the next twenty minutes until the girls heard the bell ring, signaling the end of recess.
Julie and Charlotte ran to pick up their book bags and hurried into Miss Crystal’s line. Miss Crystal was their third grade teacher and she was very nice.
Upon reaching the line, Julie and Charlotte waved good bye to Kirsten. She was in another third grade class.
“Julie, are you okay?” Charlotte asked, noticing that Julie was holding her bag at a funny angle.
Julie nodded.
“Yeah. I’m fine. It’s just my bag feels a little heavy.”
“Did you bring your art kit today?” Charlotte asked. SHE knew her best friend preferred to use her own markers and art supplies, rather than the ones the school provided.
Julie shook her head. She had forgotten it that morning.
“No.” She said, just as Miss Crystal approached them.
Charlotte nodded and shrugged as they followed Lucy Hartson, a girl who sat in front of them, into the building. Lucy and Julie had the same last name, but they were not related. They were however really good friends.
After Julie and Charlotte had put their lunchboxes back into their cubbies, they returned to their desks.
Before they had reading time, Miss Crystal let them have a half an hour of free time. They could go about the room as they pleased, they just couldn’t get too wild.
“Do you want to read?” Julie asked, knowing reading time was coming up anyway.
Charlotte grinned.
“Sure!” She agreed. “Let’s get a book and sit over by the window.”
“Okay!” Julie agreed.
After the two friends had chosen their books, Julie and Charlotte headed over to a spot just underneath of the window. They sat on carpets and began to read.
As Julie turned the page in her book, she heard a strange whimpering sound coming from the coatroom. She strained her ears so she could hear better. Sure enough, there was whimpering coming from inside the coatroom.
Julie put her book down and got up from her spot.
“Julie, what are you doing?” Charlotte asked, also setting her book aside.
Julie put a finger to her lips and motioned for Charlotte to follow her.
Charlotte did so and managed to get into the coatroom without anyone noticing.
Once inside, Julie raced over to her book bag, realizing the sound was coming from inside. She knelt on her knees and opened it up. And what she found inside, made her gasp in surprise.
“Hey little guy.” Julie said, referring to the brown and white puppy that was now in her lap. “How did you get in there, huh? You sure are cute.” Julie giggled as the puppy nuzzled her arm before licking it.
“So that’s why your book bag was so heavy!” Charlotte guessed, smiling at the puppy.
Julie nodded as she stroked the puppy’s fur.
“I guess so.” She then turned her attention to the puppy in her lap. “Do you have a name little guy?”
The puppy whimpered as if to say no.
“Aw, poor little guy. Let’s see. What can I name you? Hmmm…..” Julie put a finger to her chin as she thought. She wanted the name to be special and unique. As the name came to her, she smiled. “How about Scooter! What do you think of your new name?” Julie asked, glancing down at the puppy.
The puppy, Scooter, barked and licked Julie’s cheek in agreement.
“I think he likes it!” Julie announced, giggling as she hugged Scooter close. “Don’t worry, Scooter. You have a home now. I’m going to take care of you now. You’ll see.” With that, Julie hugged Scooter close and kissed his head.
“Do you think your Aunt Abby will let you keep Scooter?” Charlotte asked.
Julie nodded.
“I’m pretty sure she will. She’s really nice about things like that. I just have to ask her first.”
Just then, Miss Crystal announced that free time was over and it was time for everyone to get back in their seats for reading time.
Julie didn’t want to leave Scooter, but she knew she had to. She gave him a kiss and made sure he had water before leaving the room.
For the rest of the school day, Julie checked on Scooter every chance she got. She even had Kimberly, a volunteer for the library, go and get Scooter a leash from a nearby pet store. It wasn’t far from the school.
At the end of the day, Aunt Abby came to pick Julie up from school. Megan wasn’t able to get her that day, due to a problem that had come up in Ponyland.
After Abby had assured Julie that Megan and Molly were okay, Abby turned her attention to Julie’s new friend.
“Aunt Abby, this is Scooter. I found him in my book bag before school today. Can I keep him, please? I promise I’ll take care of him! Please.”
Abby thought for a few minutes before nodding her head. She could see that Julie and Scooter had formed a close bond in the short amount of time they had been together and Aunt Abby didn’t want to break it up. Julie had already had enough abandonment in her life.
“Sure. But we need to make sure nobody is looking for him first, okay?”
Julie nodded. She grinned from ear to ear. She had a feeling that Scooter was going to stay with her for a very long time.
Two weeks later, Julie got the good news. Scooter was definitely a stray and nobody had called in about him to the local shelter.
Julie grinned as Scooter curled up to her in bed that night.
“I love you, Scooter. I love you so much boy. You’re safe now. You’re going to be loved from now on. I’m going to take good care of you. I will never hurt you and I’ll always love you. Good night, Scooter.” With that, Julie kissed Scooter’s head and petted his back before closing her eyes and falling asleep.
Before Julie fell asleep, she sent a silent prayer of thanks up to the Father, knowing He had been the one to help she and Scooter find one another.
Julie had never been more grateful to her Heavenly Father than she was at that very moment. Julie knew God loved her and that He would always protect her. He had helped Julie and her sisters be adopted by Aunt Abby after all.
Julie smiled as she fell asleep. She was glad she and her sisters were safe now and they actually had a home with someone who truly loved them. She knew Aunt Abby would NEVER hurt them and for once, Julie felt like she and her sisters belonged somewhere. Julie was also glad that she could show Scooter what having a true family was all about. She was going to love Scooter the same way she loved her kitten, Oliver and Molly loved Jewelhart….

Molly grinned at the conclusion of Julie’s story. She had enjoyed listening to it.
Julie grinned as well.
“So that’s the story.” She said, still petting Scooter.
“That was cool!” Molly replied before getting up from her spot.
“I’m glad you liked it.” Julie then glanced down at her watch and frowned up at the sky. “We better get back. It’s almost time for dinner.”
Molly nodded, although she had enjoyed being outside and spending time with Julie.
“Thanks.” Molly said as they rounded the corner to Paradise Estate.
“For what?” Julie asked, a little confused.
“For telling me the story.” Molly replied, smiling at her sister.
“You’re welcome.” Julie replied, as she unhooked Scooter’s leash and let him run around for a few minutes.
Just then, Megan came out of the Estate.
“Did you girls have fun?” She asked, smiling at both of her little sisters. She patted Molly’s shoulder and gave Julie a hug as her little sister wrapped her arms around her waist.
Molly grinned from ear to ear.
“We sure did! We played fetch with Jewelhart and Scooter and then Julie told me the story of how she adopted Scooter.”
Megan smiled.
“Well I’m glad you two had a good time. It’s almost time for dinner, so why don’t you guys go wash up, okay?”
Molly and Julie nodded and left to do so.
Scooter followed after Julie while Jewelhart ran after a butterfly that was near Posey’s garden. She was soon joined by Brandy, who was in pursuit of the same butterfly.
Megan shook her head as she went inside to get washed up herself. She was meaning to ask Mike what was up with Bob, but she figured that maybe Bob just needed some time to adjust.
Megan remembered how she had taken a little while to get used to Ponyland and her sisters had been the same way. Hopefully all Bob needed was some time as well.
When Megan reached the dining room, she sat across from Molly and Julie, who were sitting next to each other, with Medley on Julie’s right.
Megan was glad that Julie and Molly were spending more time together these days. She knew they were three years apart, but she also knew that for all the bickering they did, Julie loved Molly and vice versa.
After Megan had prayed, they all dug into dinner. Firefly had made her famous taco salad and broccoli casserole, which was a favorite of Fluey’s as well as the Hartson sisters.
During dinner, the group of friends talked about anything and everything. They tried to get Bob involved in the conversation, but he just sat there, picking at his food. He wasn’t used to being in a room with people he didn’t know. And the fact that little ponies occupied the room as well, made it harder for him to adjust.
As Bob was reaching over to get an extra napkin, Julie saw his struggle and took her opportunity to make Bob feel welcome. She was always one to help people.
“Here you go.” She said, handing Bob what he was looking for.
Bob nodded and took the napkin without a word.
Mike gave Bob a Look from across the table and Bob shrugged. HE got the message though and mumbled a thank you to Julie that was barely audible.
“I’m sorry,” Julie said, giving Bob a confused look. “What did you say? I didn’t hear you.”
“I said thank you.” He said, his tone short and to the point.
“You’re welcome.” Julie replied, trying to fight back tears. She was only trying to be nice. She didn’t understand what Bob’s problem was.
After Julie was done eating, she asked to be excused from the table and Megan let her go. She had watched the exchange between Bob and Julie and she knew Bob had upset her little one. She would have talked to Bob about it, but she decided to talk to Mike instead. Megan knew Mike knew Bob and Megan remembered that Bob didn’t like kids.
Megan waited until after dinner was over before talking to Mike. She was about to go into the living room, where she could hear Mike and Peter talking, but was stopped by Molly. Molly looked a little worried.
“Moll, what’s wrong, sweetie?” Megan asked, giving her baby sister a hug.
“Julie’s crying in her room.” Molly informed Megan. “I tried to help her, but she asked me to get you.”
“Okay, honey. Thanks. Why don’t you go see what Fizzy’s doing.” Megan suggested.
Molly nodded. She then gave Megan a concerned look.
“Will Julie be okay?” Molly asked.
“Yes.” Megan replied. “I promise. Julie’s going to be fine.” With that, she sent Molly off with a pat to her shoulder.
As Megan entered Julie’s room, she found her laying on her bed in tears. Scooter was snuggled in her arms, licking Julie’s face.
“Julie, can we talk, little one?” Megan asked, sitting down on the bed beside her little sister.
Julie glanced up at Megan as more tears coursed down her cheeks.
“Megan, I just wanted to help! I was just trying to be nice! Why was Bob so rude? The only reason I asked him to repeat himself was because I didn’t hear what he said!”
“I know, Jules, I know. Come here, sweetheart.” With that, Megan took Julie into her arms and rocked her gently. She stroked her hair and planted a kiss on her cheek. “I know Bob hurt your feelings, but I’m going to talk to Mike about it after you’re feeling better.”
Julie nodded. She rested her head against Megan’s shoulder and let out another sob. Her day had gone from good to bad and she didn’t like it. She was also feeling strange. She had a headache and her stomach was hurting, but it wasn’t like a normal stomachache. It was more like a dull cramping feeling. She wasn’t sure what was going on, but she figured it would pass if she got some sleep. Little did Julie know how wrong she was.
“I missed you today.” Megan told her little sister. “But I’m glad you and Molly are spending some time together.”
Julie nodded.
“I think Scooter and Jewelhart enjoyed the walk too.” She let a small smile spread across her face as she tried to stop crying.
“Do you want to spend some time with me before I talk to Mike?” Megan offered.
Julie nodded.
“Can we play a game?” She asked, feeling a little bit better.
“Sure we can. What do you want to play?” Megan asked, making calming circles on Julie’s back.
Julie thought for a moment before answering Megan’s question.
“Can we play Candy Land?” She asked. “That way, Molly can play too if she wants.”
Megan smiled and ruffled Julie’s hair gently.
“Aw, you are so sweet you know that, Julia Carina Hartson?”
Julie nodded.
After Julie had washed her face, she and Megan went into the living room to set up the game. Molly joined them as did Fizzy and Mike.
“Hey Bob!” Mike called out as Bob passed by the living room just as the game was getting started. “Come play with us.”
“Yeah!” Fizzy chimed in. “It’ll be fun!”
Julie gave Bob a Look that wasn’t lost on Megan. She was still feeling hurt by what Bob had done to her.
Megan let Julie’s behavior go for the moment. She knew that Julie was still feeling bad about what had happened at dinner.
Bob shook his head.
“No thanks.” He said, directing his answer at Mike. “I think I’m just gonna go read for a little bit before I go to bed.”
“Are you sure?” Mike asked, trying to get Bob to join in the fun.
“I’m sure.” Bob replied, before disappearing down the hallway.
Mike shrugged as Molly started shuffling the cards.
After two games of Candy Land, Julie fell asleep in Megan’s lap while watching a movie.
Megan put both of her little sisters to bed before going to talk to Mike. She wanted answers and she wanted them now. She was going to be polite about it, but she still wanted to know why Bob had treated Julie that way.
“I love you, little one.” Megan said, putting her hand through Julie’s reddish blond hair. “Sweet dreams. Megan will see you in the morning.” With that, Megan went to check on Molly before going to talk to Mike.
After making sure that Molly was okay, she went to talk to Mike.
Megan found Mike engaged in a game of Go Fish with Cherries Jubilee.
“Mike, can we talk?” Megan asked, sitting down across from the two friends.
Mike nodded as he looked up.
“Sure thing, Megan baby. What’s up?”
Megan took a deep breath. She wasn’t exactly sure how to start the conversation. She closed her eyes for a minute, trying to gather her thoughts. She let her heart lead her and started the best way she knew how.
“Bob really hurt Julie’s feelings.” Megan started. “Julie was just being nice. She likes helping people.”
Mike sighed.
“I know. I’m not trying to say what Bob did was okay, because it wasn’t. But Bob isn’t used to bein’ around kids and he really doesn’t like anyone helping him with anything.”
Megan nodded.
“I know. And I know Bob needs to get used to being here, but I think he owes Julie an apology.”
Mike was in agreement with Megan, but he knew Ponyland would get wintertime early before Bob apologized to Julie.
“I’ll talk to him.” Mike promised. “I can get through to him usually.
Megan grinned at Mike.
“Thanks, Mike.”
“No problem, Megan baby. Now, do you want in on the game?”
Megan nodded.
“Sure.” With that, the two started to play.

The next morning, Megan was helping Firefly make breakfast while Fizzy was feeding Baby Shimmerstar and Molly was getting ready for school.
Even though they had a guest in the Estate, it was a normal school day for her and Julie. She had reading with Firefly first and then science with Posey. Molly LOVED science and enjoyed learning about flowers from Posey. SHE also liked reading and math with Mike, but she enjoyed science best of all.
After Molly was done getting ready, she went for the bathroom to brush her teeth. She opened the door and stepped in, all intentions of washing her hands and brushing her teeth.
Upon entering the bathroom however, Molly screamed in surprise and shock at what she found.
Julie was huddled against the wall, her knees pulled up to her chest. She looked like she was in pain.
“Julie? Julie! Are you okay?” Molly asked, regaining her voice.
“It hurts!” Julie replied, her voice full of pain. “Get Megan, please?”
“Okay. I’ll be right back. You’re gonna be okay.” With that, Molly left to get their older sister. But before she did so, she bent down to pat Julie’s shoulder and that’s when she saw it. Blood covered the bathroom floor. This worried Molly even more and she ran from the room to get Megan.
Molly found Megan in the kitchen, setting out the plates for breakfast.
“Megan! Megan, come quick! It’s Julie!” Molly announced, her tone full of fear and worry.
“What’s wrong, my little sunshine?” Megan asked, putting a comforting arm around Molly’s shoulders.
Molly took a deep breath before answering Megan’s question.
“It’s Julie! She’s hurt and… and she’s…she’s bleeding!”
"What?!" Megan shouted, and she ran for the bathroom.
When Julie saw her sister, she let out a sob, and flung herself at her.
"Shh, it's all right, little one," Megan said, stroking Julie's hair.
"It's all right. Can you tell me what happened?"
"I don't know!" Julie sobbed. "My tummy was hurting, and I went to the bathroom, and then . . . . then I started bleeding . . . . Megan, I'm scared! I don't know what's wrong!"
"I think I do," Megan said, and she gave Julie a big hug. She put a hand on Julie's stomach and moved it down a little. "Is this where your tummy's hurting?"
"Yes," Julie sniffled. "Am I going to have to go to the hospital to get a shot?"
"No," Megan said. "Everything's going to be just fine, little one.
You've just gotten your first period."
"My first what?"
"Period. All girls have it when they get older. It happens every month. Even I get it every month. It usually lasts for a week. Sometimes it can be longer, and sometimes, it can be shorter. It's just part of
growing up."
"Really?"
"Yep. Here, I'll show you what to do." With that, Megan helped Julie with her first "monthly visitor."
Then Megan went to the kitchen to get a bucket and a mop to clean up the bathroom floor. Right before she left the kitchen, a blood curdling shriek filled the Estate.
"YEEEAAAAAUUUGGGHHH!"
"Yipe!" Surprise shouted, nearly hitting the ceiling.
"What the heck was that?!" Fluey asked.
"I'll check it out," Mike said, getting up.
"I'll go with you," Megan said. "It sounded like it came from the
bathroom."
Megan and Mike walked down the hall to the bathroom. The door was open a crack, and Mike pushed it all the way open. Bob was pressed up against the wall, as if there was a poisonous snake slithering around the floor. The color was drained from his face, and he had a panic stricken look on his face.
"It's only Bob," Mike said. "What's the matter?"
Bob stammered something unintelligible and pointed to the blood on the floor. Mike looked, and began to feel a little nauseated himself. But he had to keep in control. He took a deep breath.
"What in the world happened in here?" he asked, once he composed himself.
"Oh, don't worry, it's okay," Megan said. "Julie's just, uhh, how
should I put this?"
"The monthly girl thing?" Mike said.
"That's one way of putting it," Megan nodded.
"Enough said," Mike said. Then he turned to Bob. "I'm curious to know what the heck you thought this was, Bob."
"I, uhh, I . . ." Bob said. "I . . . . uhhh . . . ."
"What a vocabulary this guy has, huh, Megan?" Mike teased. "What, you think someone was murdered or somethin'?"
"Uhhhh . . . ." Bob stammered.
Mike nodded. That said it all.
"Come on, Bobbers," he said. "Let's you and me talk."
Bob nodded, and walked off with Mike outside. Megan sighed, and filled the bucket with water. She had a feeling that this was going to be a long day.

Meanwhile outside the Estate, Mike sat down by a tree. Bob staid
standing.
"So what do you want to talk about?" Bob asked, feeling a little more comfortable since it was just him and Mike.
"Look, I know you don't like kids," Mike said. "But last night, with you and Julie . . . . man, you need to apologize to her."
"Mike, I can't," Bob said, turning away. "I . . . . I can't talk to
kids. You know that. You know how I always get on with . . . . Peter's
nephew."
"Peter's nephew has a name, you know."
"I know, but I can't bring myself to say it. It's too weird a name."
"So you gonna apologize to Julie?"
"I told you, Mike! I can't talk to kids! Especially girls. I just
can't look at a little girl without . . . ."
"Without what?"
Bob choked just then. He turned away, and began wringing his hands.
"Nothing, nothing," he said, voice rising in pitch slightly. "Nothing at all. Look, can't you tell her I said I was sorry for hurting her feelings? I can't do it myself. I just can't. Don't ask me why. Please?"
"I'll tell you what. I'll go with you to apologize. But you gotta tell
her yourself."
Bob took a deep breath, and nodded. He and Mike went back into the Estate and went to the kitchen. Julie and Molly were sitting at the table eating breakfast.
Bob stopped in the doorway. He looked at Mike as if to say "don't make me do this." But Mike wouldn't have any of it.
"Hey, Julie," he said. "Bob has somethin' he wants to tell you."
"Yeah," Bob said, slightly nervous. "Uhhh, I just wanted to say . . .. . uhhh . . . . well, that is . . . ."
"Come on, Bob, spit it out," Mike said.
"I'm s-s-s-sorry I hurt your feelings last night," Bob said,
struggling with the words while looking Julie in the eye.
"Okay," Julie said. "Thanks for apologizing to me, Bob."
"Excuse me?" Bob asked, suddenly. "But what did you just say to me?"
"She just thanked you for apologizin'," Mike said. "What's wrong with that?"
"She called me by my first name!" Bob shouted right in Mike's face. "I don't care what she calls you or Peter or anyone else, but she doesn't know me! Doesn't she know you don't call adults by their first names unless they say you can?! I don't recall telling these kids they could call me by my first name!"
"Hey, whoa, wait a minute," Mike said, but Bob wouldn't let him word in edgewise.
"I don't want these kids calling me by my first name!" he yelled.
"None of them! The ponies can, but they can't, and neither can the baby
ponies!"
With that, Bob stormed out of the room. Mike wanted to throttle him. He looked over at Julie, who looked like she was about ready to cry.
"Molly, go get Megan," Mike said. "I'll handle Bobbers."
"Okay," Molly said, and she ran from the room to get her sister.
Megan was just coming around the corner when Molly ran into her.
"Megan, we need you," she said.
"What's wrong, Moll?" Megan asked.
"Bob . . . . uhh, I mean Mike's boss just yelled at us because Julie
called him by his first name," Molly said. "He hurt Julie's feelings again. Mike's going to go talk to him."
Megan walked over to Julie, and hugged her. Julie began to cry.
"Why is he so mean?" she asked. "Mike and Peter let us call them by their first names. Why doesn't Mr. Rafelsen?"
"I don't know, Julie," Megan said, rubbing Julie's back. "I guess some grown ups don't like to be called by their first names from kids they don't know well."
A few minutes later, Mike and Bob returned to the room. Mike was practically dragging Bob into the room.
"Mike, I can't do this," Bob protested.
"Just say it," Mike said. "If you don't say it, I'm gonna do somethin' I shouldn't do in front of Molly and Julie. And Megan shouldn't see it, either!"
"Whoa," Molly said. "Mike must be REALLY mad!"
"Okay, okay," Bob said, and he turned to Julie and took a deep breath. "J-Julie . . . . I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lost my temper like that. I just don't like kids calling me by my first name. But I was wrong to yell the way I did, and I'm sorry."
Julie just nodded and buried her head in Megan's shoulder. She wasn't ready to forgive Bob just then. But Bob was satisfied with her reaction, and left. Mike shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"Look, I'm really sorry about Bob," he told the girls. "Like I said. “he's not used to kids, and he's not used to bein' around them. But I'm sure he'll come around."
"I hope so," Megan said. “I really hope so.”

A little while later, Bob was walking around outside, looking around. Ponyland was pretty peaceful. It was a good place just to sit and
think. Bob figured he needed to do a lot of thinking. But before he could, he felt himself being lifted off the ground. He looked down, and
realized he was on the back of a pink pony with blue hair, and she was going higher and higher into the sky.
"Hiya!" Firefly shouted.
"Ack!" Bob shouted, wrapping his arms around Firefly's neck. "Wha you doing?!"
"I figure a good flight will relax you," Firefly said.
"No, no it won't! Please let me off!"
"Oh come on! Flying's a lot of fun! Now hold on. I'm gonna show you something that will definitely make you feel good!"
And with that, Firefly did her specialty. The Double Inside Out Loop.
Bob screamed, and squeezed his eyes shut. He held onto Firefly's mane so hard, his knuckles turned white.
"How'd you like that?" Firefly asked.
"I didn't!" Bob shouted.
"Maybe you should try it with your eyes open."
"NO! Please, please, please, let me down! Let me down!"
"Come on, just open your eyes and take a look around."
Bob opened one eye, and looked around. Of course, he happened to look down. He felt faint when he realized how high up they were, and he let out a moan. Then he screamed, and leaned against Firefly again.
"Please, please, please, please let me down!" he begged. "PLEASE!"
Firefly didn't understand it. Usually the Double Inside Out Loop worked wonders. But she landed and Bob staggered off her back. He put his hands over his nose and mouth and began taking deep breaths into them.
Firefly couldn't believe what she was seeing. Never in her life had
anyone started to hyperventilate when she did the Loop with them on her back!
"What's going on out here?" Medley asked as she and Peter came out of the Estate.
"I just did the Loop and he freaked," Firefly said.
"Don't be upset, Firefly," Peter said, as he started to lead Bob (who was still hyperventilating) into the Estate. "He hates flying."
"Now he tells us," Firefly grumbled.
Peter led Bob into the living room of the Estate, and got a paper bag from the kitchen. Bob began breathing into that until he started to
calm down.
"You okay?" Peter asked.
"Yeah," Bob said, nodding. "I'm fine. I'm okay. Uhh, look, Pete, I
think I'm just gonna take a nap, okay?"
"Sure," Peter said, smiling. "Sorry about Firefly. She tends to be a bit . . . . more outgoing than most ponies."
Bob nodded, and curled up on the couch. He figured he'd catch a quic nap before lunch, but such wasn't the case. He fell asleep fairly
quickly. Cupcake had wandered in and saw him sleeping. She told every to make too much noise inside, since he was sleeping. She was about to
go into the kitchen to get some baking done when she suddenly saw Bob
jerking his head from side to side and moaning.
"No . . . ." he moaned. "No, stop . . . . don't, please! I'm sorry . .
. . I'm sorry, please don't . . . . I'll be good, I promise I'll be
very, very good just don't . . . . no, no, no!"
"Bob?" Cupcake asked, nudging him in the shoulder. "Bob, wake You're dreaming!"
Bob flung his arm out, and hit Cupcake in the nose. Cupcake let yelp, which brought Fizzy into the room.
"Are you okay, Cupcake?" she asked.
"Fizzy, I'm glad you're here, I need help," Cupcake said. "Can a bubble in his face to wake him up?"
"Sure thing!"
Fizzy lit up her horn, and a bubble came out of it. It floated right
up to Bob's face, and it popped. Bob shot up, and looked around, wide
eyed and confused. For a minute, he didn't know where he was. He glanced at Cupcake and Fizzy, and then relaxed a minute.
"Are you all right?" Cupcake asked. "You were thrashing about and yelling."
"Another nightmare," Bob said, to no one in particular.
"What was it about?" Fizzy asked.
"Never mind," Bob said, quickly. "Don't worry about it."
"Well, now that you're up," Fizzy said. "Why don't you come outs and play with us?"
"No thanks," Bob said. "I don't really play."
"Oh come on, it'll be fun!"
Fizzy then took Bob's sleeve in her teeth, and pulled, but Bob pulled his arm back.
"No, I'd rather not," he said.
"But the fresh air will do you good," Fizzy said, trying to convince
him. She began pulling harder.
"I said no!" Bob shouted, yanking his arm back. His sleeve tore, and he fell against the couch. Fizzy stumbled backwards herself, and
crashed.
"Oh!" Cupcake shouted. "Oh, Fizzy, are you all right?"
"I'm okay," Fizzy said, and she then realized she just tore the sleev off Bob's short. "Oh my gosh! Oh, Bob, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean . . . ."
Fizzy stopped when she saw a large scab on Bob's shoulder. It was red, and about the size of a silver dollar. It was a burn scar Bob had
since he was nine years old, but Fizzy didn't know that. She gasped,
thinking she had bitten him.
"Oh!" she shouted. "Oh no! Oh, what have I done?! Oh Bob, I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean to . . . ."
Bob just looked at his shoulder, and ran off down the hall into the
Room he was staying in. Fizzy looked over at Cupcake, and began to cry.
"Oh Cupcake, what have I done?!" she sobbed.
“It wasn’t your fault, Fizzy.” Cupcake soothed, nuzzling her gently. “I promise. It was an accident. And besides, Bob pulled away from you, you didn’t bite him.”
Fizzy sighed, still not sure.
“What’s not Fizzy’s fault?” Molly asked, coming into the room just then. She saw the state Fizzy was in and rushed to her best pony friend’s side. She gave Fizzy a hug and stroked her mane gently. “Fizzy, what’s wrong? What happened?” Molly asked, her voice gentle and full of concern.
Fizzy tried to explain, but her voice was constricted with sobs, so Cupcake took over the explanation for her friend.
“Fizzy thinks she hurt Bob.” Cupcake explained.
“What!” Molly exclaimed in disbelief. “Fizzy would never hurt anyone! She’s the gentlest unicorn I know.”
Cupcake nodded in agreement.
“I told her it was an accident.”
“What happened?” Molly asked, more to Cupcake this time.
“Bob woke up from a nightmare and Fizzy asked him if he wanted to play. Bob said no, but Fizzy insisted. She came up to him and tried to pull him up, but he pulled away and…” Cupcake’s voice trailed off, the image of the mark still fresh in her mind.
“What happened then?” Molly asked, still comforting Fizzy.
“We saw a mark on his shoulder.” Cupcake replied. “It looked like a burn, but we’re not sure. That’s when Fizzy started crying, thinking she had hurt him. I think Fizzy thought she hurt him because when Bob pulled away from her, his sleeve tore off.”
Molly nodded, realization hitting her like the first rays of sunshine in the morning.
“Fizzy, you didn’t hurt Bob.” Molly assured her best friend. “You didn’t. I Promise. It was an accident.”
Fizzy sniffled, trying to calm down.
“How do you know?” Fizzy asked, her voice somewhat tearful.
Molly smiled.
“I know because you’re the gentlest unicorn I’ve ever known. You’ve never hurt me and you would NEVER hurt anyone on purpose.” Molly replied, giving Fizzy a hug before planting a kiss on her cheek. “I love you, Fizzy.”
Fizzy smiled a little and nuzzled Molly gently.
“I love you too.” Fizzy said, calming down considerably. “Thanks, Molly.”
Molly grinned.
“It’s my pleasure.” Molly said, a grin spreading across her face. “You’re my best friend and I would do anything for you. Besides, I know you wouldn’t hurt anyone. Come on, let’s go for a ride.” With that, Molly hopped on Fizzy’s back and held on to her mane gently.
Fizzy smiled at this. A ride with Molly was just what Fizzy needed to get her mind off of what had happened.
“Let’s ride!” Fizzy agreed, galloping towards the door of the Estate. With that, the two best friends were off. Another crisis was averted for the time being.
Cupcake sighed with relief. She was glad Fizzy was feeling better.

Meanwhile, outside, Megan was reading the book she had brought with her from her aunt’s house. She was almost done and she had enjoyed it, although it had been a little sad. The book was called “An Angel Named Kasie.”
It was about a little girl who despite her own problems, risks everything to save another little girl in need.
As Megan turned the page, she felt herself leaving the ground. The book slipped from her hands and she had to grab onto Firefly’s mane to prevent herself from falling. She giggled as she held on, knowing Firefly had only done it out of fun.
“Firefly!” Megan said, giggling still. “What was that for?”
Firefly shrugged as best she could with Megan on her back.
“What? I can’t spend time with my sweet girl?” She asked, mock hurt in her voice.
Megan giggled as she stroked Firefly’s mane.
“Aw, of course you can. So where do you want to go?” She asked, taking her hand off Firefly’s mane so that she would stop for a minute.
“It’s your choice, my sweet girl. Where would you like to go?”
Megan thought for a moment before replying.
“Can we take a flight around Ponyland, please?”
“Sure thing!” Firefly replied, taking off through the sky at top speed. She and Megan flew around for a few minutes, just enjoying each other’s company.
After the two best friends talked about fun things, Firefly asked Megan a question she wasn’t ready for.
“What do you think of Bob?” Firefly asked, catching Megan off guard.
Megan had to think for a moment, not sure how to answer her best friend. She didn’t think Bob was mean, but he certainly had to work on his treatment of kids.
Finally, after a few minutes, Megan gave Firefly her honest opinion.
“Bob’s okay. He’s quiet and a little short when it comes to talking to us kids, but other than that, he’s all right.”
“I know there’s something else.” Firefly said, knowing her sweet girl too well. “What’s on your mind, honey?”
Megan sighed. She really didn’t want to voice her other problem aloud. But at the same time, Megan knew Firefly would be able to help her, so she took the plunge.
“It’s Julie.” Megan started, a frown crossing her face. “She’s been really upset lately about everything that happened. I mean first Bob treats her non too nicely and then she gets her girl thing for the first time. This week has been really hard on her. I want her to have some fun. She needs a break.”
Firefly nodded. She had been thinking the same thing over the past few hours. Her Jules wasn’t herself and Firefly wanted to see her smile again.
“Now that you mention it, I have missed seeing Julie smile. Maybe a trip to see Charlotte would do it.” Firefly suggested, wanting to help Megan think of something.
Megan shook her head.
“Charlotte’s away with her sister, Stacey.” Megan explained. “They won’t be back for two weeks.”
Firefly nodded.
“Well doesn’t Julie have any other Human friends?” Firefly asked, knowing it wasn’t hard for Julie to make them.
Megan thought about this for a minute before her face broke into a grin. She didn’t know why she hadn’t thought about it before. But then again, Kathy had only just moved to Nebraska a month and a half ago, so Megan wasn’t sure how close she and Julie were.
“There is one other girl in Julie’s class who she is friends with. Her name is Kathy Burke. She just moved to Nebraska with her family. Kathy has a little sister named Min as well.”
Firefly grinned as they landed near Paradise Estate.
“Well, there you go.” Firefly said, grinning triumphantly. “Why don’t you ask Kathy and Min’s mother if Julie can stay there for the weekend. I’m sure Jules would LOVE it. But first, you need to ask Julie if she wants to go.”
Megan nodded. She knew Firefly spoke the truth.
“Okay. That does sound like a good idea. I’ll call Gloria tonight. But I have to talk to Julie first. Thanks Firefly!” With that, Megan gave Firefly a hug before going to find Julie. She just hoped and prayed that this trip would help Julie feel better.
Megan found Julie reading in the den. She sat beside her little sister and took her into her arms.
“Hey there, little one. I had a question for you.” Megan started, stroking Julie’s hair before planting a kiss on her cheek.
“Okay.” Julie said, laying her head against Megan’s shoulder. “What is it?”
“Would you like to go to Kathy and Min’s house to play?” Megan asked. “You could spend the weekend there and it would give you some time away from…” Megan’s voice trailed off as she tried to find the right words that wouldn’t sound rude. “…some time away from the chaos here.”
Julie nodded. She understood what Megan was saying and she agreed with her. She hadn’t seen Kathy for awhile and she missed spending time with her.
“Okay! That sounds like fun!” Julie said, a grin spreading across her face.
“Aw, I’m glad you think so. I’m going to call Kathy and Min’s mother tonight and see if it’s okay.”
Julie grinned. She gave Megan a hug.
“Thanks Megan!” Julie said, sincerely. “Thanks a lot.”
“Aw, you’re welcome, sweetheart. I know you’ll have fun.” With that, Megan and Julie spent some time together before dinnertime.

Meanwhile, Molly and Fizzy were playing some bubble ball outside. They had decided to play a little before dinner. Fizzy was feeling much better about everything and Molly was glad that Fizzy was smiling again.
Just then, Bob came out. He wanted to get some fresh air. He was really looking for Mike, but he was going to keep that bit of information to himself. He knew he had hurt Fizzy’s feelings, but he couldn’t bring himself to apologize to her.
As Bob walked around to Posey’s garden, he caught sight of Molly and Fizzy playing bubble ball. He kept walking, not wanting them to see him. He had been watching both Molly and Julie during the time he had been in Ponyland. They seemed like decent kids, but he still couldn’t bring himself to get to know them.
As Bob entered Posey’s garden, a ball came flying at his head. He covered his face with his hands and breathed a sigh of relief when the ball went over him and landed in the grass a few feet away.
Just then, Ember, along with Baby Rainbow Star, Baby Moondancer and Baby Cotton Candy came around the corner, running after the ball.
As Ember got closer to Bob, she stopped and gave him a sheepish look.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Rafelsen. Are you okay?” Ember asked, sincerity in her words.
Bob nodded, hoping that would be enough to satisfy Ember.
But Bob wasn’t that fortunate.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Ember asked, wanting to make sure she hadn’t hurt him.
“I’m sure!” He snapped, making Ember blink back tears.
“Oh, okay.” Ember replied, before going after her friends and the ball. She hadn’t meant to offend Bob, but it looked like that’s what she had done.
Bob sighed with relief when he was once again alone. He wanted to find Mike so they could talk, but it seemed like Mike was nowhere to be found at the moment.
Sighing, Bob went back into the Estate to get some time alone. He wasn’t really in the mood to interact with the little ponies or their friends, even though Bob knew the Monkees and Fluey.

Later that night, Megan had called Gloria and it was okay for Julie to go over to her house. Megan had relayed the news to a very excited Julie, happy when a smile spread across her face.
“So Medley and I will take you down tomorrow.” Megan told her little sister. “And you’ll come home on Monday.”
Julie’s grin grew even wider. She knew Monday was a holiday and therefore, she and Molly didn’t have home school either.
For the rest of the night, Julie played a game with Molly and Megan before going to bed. She was excited about going over Kathy’s house and she knew she was going to have fun.

The next afternoon, Megan, Julie and Molly left on Firefly and Medley to go to the Burke house.
Earlier that morning, Julie woke up excited and in a very good mood. She bounded into the dining room and greeted everyone with a smile and a cheerful, “Good morning!”
Julie was so happy, she didn’t even mind when Bob didn’t acknowledge her greeting. She was just happy that she would be able to spend time with her other best friend.
As Julie downed her breakfast, Molly gave her a curious look.
“Julie, why are you eating so fast?” She asked, eyeing her sister suspiciously.
Julie swallowed her bite of cereal before answering Molly’s question.
“Because I’m going to spend the weekend with Kathy.” She replied. “Megan and my pretty Medley are taking me down after lunch.”
Molly nodded. She frowned at this and pushed her bowl away. She then got up and left the room, a frown on her face.
Julie frowned as she watched her sister leave. She hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings. She wanted to help her, but she knew she had to finish eating first.
After Julie was done eating, she got up and went to talk to Molly.
When Julie reached Molly’s room, she found her little sister crying on her bed. Jewelhart was there, snuggled next to her.	“Molly?” Julie asked, her voice full of concern. “Can I come in?”
“Go away!” Molly replied tearfully.
“Why?” Julie asked, coming in anyway. She sat down on the bed and reached out to pat Molly’s shoulder, but her little sister pushed her away. “Molly, is something wrong?”
Molly nodded, but she didn’t answer at first.
“What is it?” Julie asked, wanting to help Molly feel better. “Are you mad at me?”
“You don’t love me anymore!” Molly sobbed, surprising Julie.
Julie shook her head.
“No, no, no. Of course I love you. Moll, I love you so much. Why would you think I didn’t?” Julie ventured, hoping Molly would give her a straight forward answer.
Molly let out a sob before answering Julie’s question.
“Be-because you’re leaving me to go see Kathy! I heard you talking to Megan! You said you wanted to get away from here!”
Julie’s eyes widened as realization hit her.
“Molly! Molly, I’m sorry if you thought I meant I wanted to get away from you. I didn’t mean you. I love you. I meant Mr. Rafelsen. He’s really getting on my nerves.”
Molly gazed up at Julie, her hazel eyes full of tears.
“So you didn’t mean me?” Molly asked, her voice full of hope. “You still love me?”
Julie nodded as she held her arms out to her little sister.
“Of course I do! I love you so much, Molly Shaianne Hartson! Don’t ever think differently or forget it.” Julie said, opening her arms to Molly.
Molly nodded as she let Julie hug her. She clung on and let the remaining tears fall.
“I was afraid I was making you mad!” Molly admitted. “I thought you didn’t want to spend time with me anymore!”
“No, no, no, Moll. Don’t ever think that. I love you, I love spending time with you, I don’t know what I would do without you.” Julie assured her, planting a kiss on Molly’s left cheek.
“I love you too, Julie.” Molly replied, calming down considerably. She then admitted something to her big sister that she had been keeping from Megan. “I’m mad at Mr. Rafelsen.”
“Why?” Julie asked, taken aback by Molly’s statement.
“Because he made you cry. He scared you! I don’t like it when you’re upset or afraid.”
Julie’s heart melted. She hugged Molly close and ruffled her hair gently.
“Tell you what.” Julie said, trying to cheer Molly up. “What if I ask Megan if you can come with me? That way, Min will have someone to play with. You remember Min, right?”
Molly nodded. She had played with Min a few times and the two were pretty close.
“You would do that for me?” Molly asked.
Julie nodded.
“Yup. I couldn’t have fun knowing you were here upset and lonely. Although I think Fizzy’s going to miss you.”
Molly smiled.
“Thanks, Julie.” She said, giving her sister another hug.
“You’re welcome. Do you feel better now?” Julie asked, hoping she had succeeded in cheering Molly up.
Molly nodded.
“I do now.”
“I’m glad.” Julie said, smiling down at Molly. With that, the two sisters went to find Megan.
In a matter of twenty minutes, Molly was allowed to go with Julie. She was happy about this and she was looking forward to it. At first, Molly had been afraid that she was going to spoil Julie’s time, but Julie assured her that she wouldn’t do that.
After the arrangements had been made, Megan sent Molly and Julie off to play while she talked to Mike. She had wanted to see why Ember had been crying yesterday.
Megan found Mike in the living room. He was playing a game of checkers with Fluey.
“Hey Megan baby!” Mike greeted, grinning from ear to ear. “Want to join us?”
Megan nodded. She sat down across from Mike and next to Fluey. She gave him a smile, which Fluey returned.
“Actually, I had a question for you.” Megan told Mike.
“Shoot.” Mike said, taking his turn in the game.
“Why was Ember crying yesterday?” Megan asked, her voice full of concern.
Mike shook his head.
“I don’t know. I think you’d have to ask Twilight about that.”
Megan nodded. She only had twenty minutes before she had to take Julie and Molly over the Rainbow. It was just enough time to talk to Twilight.
Megan found the unicorn in the nursery, reading to Baby Moondancer, Baby Cotton Candy and Baby Heartthrob.
When Baby Moondancer saw Megan, she jumped up and ran to her, wanting to be picked up.
“Aw, hi there, sweetheart. Come here.” With that, Megan picked Baby Moondancer up. She sat down near Twilight and gave her a smile. “Twilight, can I ask you something?” Megan asked, hoping she hadn’t interrupted anything.
Twilight nodded. She put the book down and turned her attention to Megan.
“What’s up?” Twilight asked.
“Why was Ember crying yesterday?” Megan asked, hoping she would be able to find an answer.
Twilight sighed.
“Mr. Rafelsen scared her.” Twilight replied. “Apparently, my little one and a few of the other baby ponies were playing ball. The ball hit Mr. Rafelsen in the head and Ember wanted to make sure he was okay. She asked him as much and he said yes. She then asked him again, to make sure he was all right and he snapped at her.”
Megan nodded and sighed. It looked like she was going to have another talk with Mike. But that would have to wait. It was almost time to take Julie and Molly to the Burkes’.
“Well, I’m gonna talk to Mike after I Get back from taking Molly and Julie over the Rainbow.” Megan told Twilight. She got up and put Baby Moondancer down. She gave Baby Moondancer’s mane a pat before leaving the room. Before Megan left, she turned her attention back to Twilight. “Is Ember okay?”
Twilight nodded.
“Yeah. She’s a little shaken, but she’ll be okay.”
Megan nodded. With that, she left to get Molly and Julie.

My Zutara family

    <lj:music>Mae Whitman-I Heard the Bells</lj:music>

At first when I started watching Avatar, I was all for Kataang. It was familiar and comforting for me. But after I saw “Bato of the Water Tribe” I started leaning towards zutara. It was then that I started really thinking of it as a possible ship. I started reading stories that starred that pairing and found I liked them a lot!

My fave zutara stories were the ones written by DragonJadeFire on ff.net, as well as Captured Hearts, Lotus Lake, The Hunter and the Prey and a lot of others. I liked them because they had real mystery and unpredictability in them.

I also liked them because the ones that dealt with Katara/Zuko’s family after they had kids were really enjoyable to read. Katara or ‘Tara as I affectionately call her is a great mother in the future and she really loves taking care of children. Zuko isn’t a bad father either. I also really liked daydream11’s zutara story, “One More Time,” even though it was Kataang at the end. It was still really good and I enjoyed reading it.

In the beginning, I wrote a lot of Kataang fics, but then I started venturing into zutara story writing as well. I even have my own drabble series for them. It’s posted on ff.net. It’s called Calming Water: Raging Flames.

In my zutara universe, Katara and Zuko have four five children. Sokka is also married to Suki and Toph and Aang are together, but that’s beside the point. GOL!

The birth order for Katara/Zuko’s kids goes like this: (And if anyone would like to use the following chars in a story, please ask me first.)

Taccai:

Taccai is their eldest son and also the air to the throne. He is a firebender and a really good one at that. The only thing he doesn’t have is the power to control lightning. That bending art belongs to his younger sister, Kiana. Taccai is fiercely protective of his younger siblings, especially his younger brother, Seteiro. The reason is, Seteiro is partially deaf and can only hear partially out of his right ear. He uses sign language mostly and all his siblings know it. The yare all protective of him, but none more so than Taccai and Kiana. Taccai enjoys sparring with his sisters and brother as well as challenging his friends to matches every now and again. He also enjoys reading and getting into trouble with his sisters, especially Shaina. The two are always cooking up some sort of light hearted scheme together. Taccai has his mother’s blue eyes, but his father’s hair. His skin color is a mix of Katara and Zuko, which means it’s a light tan.

Shaina Renae:

Shaina is the eldest twin. She is a waterbending prodigy and enjoys bending her element. She is very sweet and is a Mama’s girl. She loves her Papa, but she will sooner talk to Katara when something is wrong rather than Zuko. She trust Zuko, but she trusts Katara more. Shaina looks mostly like Katara, but she has Zuko’s brown eyes. Shaina enjoys training ,especially with her Granpa Pakku. She calls Pakku that, even though he is her great grandfather. In fact, all the kids call Pakku ‘Grandpa. Like Tacai, Shaina enjoys reading, but she likes drawing pictures more. This is why calligraphy lessons aren’t a chore for her. She thinks of them as fun. Shaina is sweet and a very good listener. She also enjoys helping people. She likes to cuddle, but only with Katara. She’ll sit on Zuko’s lap and she allows him to hold her, but she prefers to be in her mother’s arms if she’s not on the ground or sitting in a chair.

Kiana Lynn (Ana):

Kiana or Ana for short is Shaina’s younger twin. She is a firebender and good at it. She can also bend and control lightening. But she doesn’t like to use it for fear of hurting someone. She is very sweet and gentle. She loves spending time with her family. It’s no secret that Ana is a Papa’s girl, but she loves her Mama too. She’ll go to Zuko for almost everything, except if there’s a thunderstorm. When one hits, she runs to Katara. The reason is, she loves it when her Mama sings to her. Both twins have Katara’s gift of song as well.

Seteiro Kai:

Seteiro is the youngest member of the zutarian family. He is a sweetheart and loves his Mama to pieces! He enjoys training with Pakku as well, but he prefers Katara to teach him. He is def a Mama’s boy, but he knows how to wrap Zuko around his finger as well. Strangely enough, when Seteiro was first born, he didn’t take to Zuko for the first three months or so. Seteiro’s favorite aunt is Suki. He loves Toph too, but Suki is his favorite relative by far. Seteiro enjoys being read to and rough housing with his brother. He also likes doing calligraphy with Shaina.

Like I said before, if anyone would like to use any of these OC’s in their own Avatar story, please ask me first!
Thanks!
Mesai an and Aloha for now

Who? God
What? He loves you.
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? Because you are His child.

“God is here and He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

I spent most of the day today reading a story I found on the net. I then updated my LJ a few times with the entries I talked about yesterday. After dinner, I went out for ice cream and then continued reading a story.

In the middle of reading, I did a friends cut on my LJ list. If anyone I've deleted wants to know why I've deleted them, please send me a message via LJ or comment in this entry ONLY. . Please, DO NOT comment in any other entry to get the answer.

I mostly did a friends cut because some people weren’t posting at all or they weren’t communing on my entries as much. But mostly it was because some people weren’t posting anything. I DO NOT cut people from my list because I’m trying to be mean or I don’t like them. I just wanted to make that clear.
Mesai an and Aloha for now

Who? God
What? He loves you.
Where? Everywhere
When?
The title of this entry refers to one of my favorite songs Tess sings in TBAA.

Today was all right. My friend never showed up. She didn’t even call me to let me know she wasn’t coming. I called her and found out early this morning. We’re gonna try and get together later in the week hopefully.

I spent the rest of the day listening to some TBAA episodes from season 8. I listened to a Winter Caroll, The Birthday Present, Hello I Love You and some other episodes. They were really good. I really enjoyed them.

Something happened that got me a little irritated. Heather Imed me after I deleted her from my contact list. The reason was what annoyed me, not the fact that she Imed me. She was Iming me to find out when Avatar was starting up again. She could have looked that up herself. It also hurt that she would IM me for that and not because she was sorry and had realized what she did. I guess some people take longer to realize mistakes they’ve made. Other than that, I’ve had a pretty good day.

I’m slowly getting back to a sense of normalcy, but I know it will take the Father’s time. He’ll heal my heart in His time. And that’s enough for me right now.

In other good news, the account cammy and her friends made via using my info was deleted. I got a response back from the violation report I sent. I’m happy at least that part of the problem is taken care of.

I think I’m going to listen to Heaven’s Portal next and then maybe finish listening to “The Princeless Bride.” The Princeless Bride was halarious so far! Especially Aunt Meg’s singing and Gloria’s explanation about forever hold your peace!

Mesai an and Aloha for now

Who? God
What? I would think that I've inspired a lot of people to reach for their dreams, despite any disabilities they might have. To think of their disabilities or disability as a blessing and find a way to use it to inspire others. I've also done a lot to spread the truth of the Father's love to those who need it either reaffirmed or affirmed for them.

To Make a Friend, You need to be a Friend

    <lj:music>He Mel No Lilo</lj:music>

The subject line of this entry is a quote from “Lilo and Stitch” the TV Series. I agree with it wholeheartedly. In order to make a friend, you need to b a friend. That means you need to respect one another and be honest with one another as well. You also need to listen to each other and be willing to compromise every once in a while. A good friend does NOT act possessive over the other person or make them feel like they belong to them. A good friend also does not get upset over that friend making other friends. A good friend also tires to help in any situation, but along with that, knows when to back off when necessary. Sure there are exceptions to some of what makes a good friend, but for the most part, this is it. Some people are good at making friends and keeping them for a long time, while some people need some help with it. I have lots of friends who I’ve known for a long time. Crystal is one of them. She and I have been friends now for twelve years and we’re still really close. Samantha S is another person I’ve been best friends with for a very long time. We’ve drifted apart over the past few years, but I know if push came to shove, Sam would be there for me in an instant. In order to keep a friendship going, both sides need to work on it and there needs to be open communication as well.

You can’t shop around for friends, just like you can’t shop around for love. It doesn’t work that way. Friends are one of the many gifts God blesses us with. And it’s one of the most precious gifts He gives us.
Mesai an and Aloha for now

Oh yeah, MuShu says bye too!

Who? Because you are His child.

“God is here and He loves us. I would have to say my Ohana and God. Although I would most def put God first. I love my Heavenly Father with all my heart and I love doing His work. Next comes my OHana and that includes my friends. The reason is, when i was younger, my friends were my OHana. Since my mother really didn't pay too much attention to me, my friend's families were like my own. They helped out as much as they could-Colleen's family especially. And that is somethin' I will never forget.

I got this survey from my friend, Celest’s journal! Have fun taking it!

1.	What is your biggest fear about going off to your new school?

1. I guess learning the way they teach. I’ve always had some vision and they teach you as if you have none. But I can adapt to things pretty quickly so it’ll be okay.

2.	What is your favorite memory of Elementary school?

I guess my favorite memory of elementary school would have to be third grade! I LOVED everythin’ about it! My teacher was awesome and I was in the same class with my best friend!

3. If you can't find a job as a teacher, what would you like to do for a career?

Write books for children. I’ve already started that career, but I would love to expand it. I’m trying to get my second completed book, An Angel Named Kasie published. I love writing and would do it every day if I could.

4. If you could meet a famous person either living or dead, who would it be and why?

Since I’ve already met one of the three people who have changed my life for the better, I would have to say Mae Whitman! She is a true inspiration to me and I would love to tell her so in person. Apart from Mae, I would also like to meet Roma Downey and Katie Leigh.

5. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself still writing, having my own place and a steady job. I also see myself being a mother to my first two future adopted daughters, Kaia and Zaida.

Do you think everyone is a little crazy? A wee bit, but who isn’t?

14. Describe a favorite art/craft project you worked on as a child.

I used to make bead crafts when I was little. Necklaces, bracelets, things like that. I once made a head band made out of beads.

15. Think of a close friend. What color(s) does his/her personality fit best?

I guess purple, but I’m not sure.

Have fun taking this survey!
Mesai and Aloha for now!

It just means I was born early and the oxygen levels on the machine I was placed on, destroyed my retinas. I enjoy learning about my eye condition so I can teach others about it. I also enjoy making friends who have ROP as well.

4.	the song spinner

I grew up with this movie so to speak and it is incredible! I highly recommend it to everyone! It tells the story of a wee girl named Aurora and how she brings music back to the place where she lives.

5.	voice over

For those of you who read my essay about Mae Whitman, that pretty much explains it. I LOVE doing voice over for fun, but I would LOVE to do it professionally as well.

6.	Writing stories

I’ve been writing since I was eleven and I’ve loved it ever since! I don’t remember a time where I didn’t like it. I’ve written six original books and one of them is published. It can be found on amazon.com.

7.	zutara

I love this ship for Avatar because it’s different than Kataang. It’s unpredictable and fun because it’s full of mystery and intrigue. It’s a wee harder to write about, but that’s what makes it fun!

    <lj:music>Down At Your Feet-Gloria and Tess</lj:music>

The title of this entry refers to one of my favorite episodes in the fifth season of TBAA. I LOVE It because it talks about standing up for what you believe in and for those who need your help, even if it’s not the most popular thing to do. Now that I’ve explained what the title of this entry refers to, I want to explain why I’m writing it.

First of all, I’m not usually a person who rants a lot. I generally don’t let things get to me, but this particular something has gone on for far too long!

For those of you who are officially confused, let me explain a wee more.

I’ve written in this journal about the reason Gloria is my favorite angel before and how much Valerie has helped me by her portrayal of the youngest angel. I’ll go even further and say she saved my life.

I’ve explained how Valerie saved my life as Gloria in this journal before, but I’ll repeat it for those of you who never read that entry.

-“How Gloria saved my life”>

You never know how God will answer prayers. That is one of the things that is so awesome about our Heavenly Father. He knows what we need and He will give it to us when we need it most.

This true story is an example of just how awesome His timing is.

The day I saw "Two Sides to Every Angel" for the first time and taped it, my Dad had gone off on me verbally. For what i don't know. It was probably for not having a job or something along those lines or for not being perfect. The usual things some parents with disabled kids rant and rave about.

Anyway, he had really said some hurtful things to me. I went up to my room, closed the door and burst into tears. I turned on the TV and rewound the tape I had taped TBAA on that day. I turned it on and started watching it.

I laughed a wee bit at some of the jokes Gloria made about Tess's car, but for the most part I sat there and balled. But it was nothing compared to how hard i was crying at the end of the episode.

When Gloria said, "God is here. And He loves us, in spite of all the mistakes and He has a plan for us all." I started crying all over again.

I then knelt on my knees and thanked God over and over again. I then prayed for Him to make it possible for me to thank Valerie for what she did. I then wrote Val that letter.

I was feeling so dejected and worthless before Gloria's revelation, I didn’t' know what to do. I felt like my Dad had slapped me, but he hadn't, don't worry.

But words can sting more than a slap across the face ever could. Believe me, I know. I've been on the receiving end of those words many times before.

When my Dad had gone off on me that day, he made me feel like all those hurtful things my mother said to me were true. "You're worthless, you're a mistake. I wish you had never been born." That was what my mother said to me most of the time.

Anyway, when I heard Gloria say, "God loves us, in spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all." It was like God had sent me an angel who lifted me up and carried me into a new day. And for the first time, I saw myself not through my earthly father's eyes, but through my Heavenly Father's eyes. And it was all thanks to God working through Valerie as Gloria. I will never forget that day or the way God worked through Valerie to confirm His love for me.

And from that day on, I never forgot those words of truth. Now, whenever I need a spirit booster or I find myself questioning God's purpose for me, I remember Gloria's words and they give me the confidence and strengthen my faith to face a new day.

And that is why I will always think of Valerie as an angel. The angel who confirmed God’s love for me when I needed it the most. I will always be grateful to Val for what she did for me as Gloria.

Since writing this entry, God made it possible to meet Valerie and thank her in person for what she did for me. The experience was incredible and it’s one I will never forget any time soon. Val was so sweet and down to earth. She even let me hug her. She gave me two hugs actually. When Valerie hugged back the first time, it felt like all the love Gloria had for everyone she met and helped was emanating from Val herself. I had been going through a lot emotionally for the past month and the ride up was anythin’ but pleasant. When Val hugged me, I almost started crying. Val gave me the second hug on her own. And it felt just as safe as the first one did.

This experience has even inspired me to write a song which I am dedicating to Valerie. The song is called “On an Angel’s Wings.” I’m trying my best to get it composed. When I do, I hope Val will listen to it because it expresses the peace, comfort and clarity her words brought me when I needed them the most.

Now that I’ve explained what happened, let’s move on to my reason for writing this entry in the first place.

As most of you know who read this journal, you know Gloria is my first favorite angel on TBAA. Monica was my original first favorite, but then after Gloria grew on me, she quickly became my new first favorite. We have a lot in common personality wise as well. And after she saved my life, my love for her grew ten fold. She also made me laugh when I needed it as well.

With that said, I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and they have the right to express it freely. But there is a big difference between expressing your opinion and being downright cruel with it. This brings me to the main point of this entry.

There is a certain author on ff.net who shall remain nameless who has been abusing her God given right to express her opinion in a non judgmental and cruel fashion. She has done this in reference to her dislike of Gloria for as long as I’ve known her and I’m tired of it!

This author has only reviewed one of my TBAA stories so far. Surprisingly, she wasn’t critical of Gloria in her review. But if Gloria shows up in any of my friend’s TBAA stories, this author is quick to put in her less than favorable opinion of her instead of just not saying anythin’ at all. The one thing that has made me upset is the fact that she keeps calling Gloria clueless! GLORIA IS NOT CLUELESS! She may be a wee naive when it comes to certain things, but she is NOT clueless! She has the mind of a computer for goodness sake! She might go a little off track sometimes and is easily distracted, but come on! She has the heart and spirit of a child, which is not a bad thing. Despite the fact of Gloria going off track sometimes and becoming distracted once in a while, she is a sweet wee angel who is eager to do the Father’s work. And when Gloria gets it right, man is she good!

I feel this way because I relate to Gloria. We are both children at heart and we both try our best to please the Father. We love to have fun and we both get excited very easily. We also ask a lot of questions.

I just don’t appreciate someone calling Gloria clueless and sayin’ that she is like an adult in a child’s Human form. She is anythin’ but that. And anyway, that should have been phrased “A child in an adult’s body.” Not the other way around. But that’s beside the point. The point is, it’s not true. Gloria may have the heart and spirit of a child, but that doesn’t mean she is not intelligent or is clueless!

I know for a fact that this author likes Adam and Andrew and I mean likes them as much as I LOVE Rafael. I don’t go around sayin’ mean and untrue things about Andrew or Adam. I don’t like Adam at all and I would choose Andrew over Adam any day. But my favorite male angel will always be Rafael. But regardless of this, I DO NOT talk badly about Andrew and I try not to do the same when it comes to Adam. In fact, I’ve put Andrew in a few of my TBAA stories where he fits. I don’t believe in putting characters in stories where they don’t fit.

For those of you who love Andrew, read my TBAA story: “The Christmas Shoes” or “Voice of an Angel: The Aftermath.” I also stuck Andrew in a few chapters of “A Lesson from Gloria.” All of these stories and more can be found on fanfiction.net. My penname is LittleGloriaFaith.

I will say it right here and now why I don’t like Adam and then I’m done with that particular subject. I don’t like Adam because of how he treated Gloria in “The Root of All Evil.”

In this episode, Gloria was left alone with Tess and Andrew for an assignment involving two robbers and a priest. Monica was NOT there at all. This made Gloria feel insecure and afraid because Monica is her supervisor, but more importantly, she is her best friend. Monica has been there for Gloria ever since the first day she set foot on Earth. The first day she was born and God sent her to earth to spread the truth of His love for His children, Monica was the first angel Gloria connected with. Monica was who God assigned to Gloria as her supervisor. Without Monica there, Gloria was unsure and didn’t know what to do. The youngest angel felt lost and alone. The reason is, Monica is her bank so to speak. Meaning she is the one Gloria relies on and looks up to. The Irish angel is also the one who helps Gloria keep her path straight.

Then when Tess scolded her, Gloria felt even worse because Monica had never yelled at her before. Then on top of that, Adam is assigned to them and starts making fun of Gloria. He calls her a naïve novice and asked if she is temporary and who would send her down to help them. He didn’t’ even have the decency to use Gloria’s name after Tess said it at least a dozen times!!

The one thing I liked about Tess in this episode was the fact that after all was said and done, she showed Gloria she still loved her and told her ‘little angel she was proud of her. I really liked that scene a lot. It was really sweet.

I did like Adam at first in “An Unexpected Snow” because of Alexander the turkey, but after “The Root of All Evil,” my dislike for him grew ten fold. That is why he is hardly in my stories if at all. The only story Adam makes a wee appearance in is “I Hope You Dance” and my Gloria/Rafael story where they need to pretend to be married. Other than that, Adam is not in my TBAA stories at all for the reasons stated above.

Ironically, “The Root of All Evil” is one of my favorite episodes because Gloria shows how much she really loves Monica and how much she appreciates what the Irish angel has done for her.

As for Andrew, I like him because he is compassionate and kind. He doesn’t make fun of people and he treats Gloria with respect and consideration. He’s also really patient with her. But despite these few reasons I like Andrew, Rafael will always be my main favorite male angel.

I end this entry by reminding everyone that there is a right and wrong way to express your opinion. Please, think before you say anything about another person or in this case, a character on a favorite TV Show. You never know how your words will affect someone else who actually loves her and had her life changed for the better because of her.

Mesai an and Aloha for now

Who? God
What? He loves you
Where? Everywhere
When? Always, forever, without ceasing.
How? Unconditionally, totally and completely.
Why? Because you are His child.

“God is here. And He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

“Don’t worry about sayin’ the right words, as long as you say the true words.” Monica
